Harry Potter poem

Just thought I'd share this with everyone because I find it quite hilarious =P I had to write it in Year 10 for Expressive Arts.

----

There was a boy called Harry Potter,
His big fat Uncle was a rotter.
He kept Harry under a stair,
And made him cut his untidy hair.

But one day when they'd run away,
Hagrid the giant saved the day.
He told Harry he was a wizard,
So they went to London in a stormy blizzard.

Harry bought a wand and cauldron,
Went to the train station and told Ron
"I don't know how to find the train,
Running through that wall would cane!"

Life at Hogwarts was very good,
Ron was Harry's bestest bud.
Another friend was Hermione Granger,
She helped the boys when they were in danger.

Harry had to again face Voldemort,
Who was stuck on Quirrel's head like a massive wart.

That's as far as I got with it XD
Run Away, Run Away

Title: Run Away, Run Away
Author: JoRowlingRocks [Becca]
Rating: R overall; this chapter PG-13
Genre: Romance/angst
Disclaimer: Channel 4s, not mine, etc.
Summary: Chapter 7- Becca & Justin arrive at their new hometown...

Chapter 1 || Chapter 2 || Chapter 3 || Chapter 4 || Chapter 5 || Chapter 6
----

“The next station is York. Passengers wishing to transfer to Derby should disembark at this station,” came the automated female voice.
“Nearly there!” Becca said excitedly.
“What shall we do when we get there?” Justin asked, peering out of the window to see if he could see the station yet.
“I don’t know… find somewhere to stay tonight, and then go exploring for a bit?”
“Good plan! Can we stay somewhere nice, just for tonight?”
“No, you know we can’t… we need to save our money. No fancy restaurants, no nice hotels… no shopping at Marks & Spencer!”
“Once I get a job, it’ll be better. I’ll get a good job, I’ll treat you like a princess,” Justin said.
“In your dreams,” Becca laughed. Justin shrugged.
“My dreams are coming true right now,” he said, kissing her.
The train started to slow down so Becca and Justin stood up and made their way to the doors at the end of the carriage. As the doors slid open and they stepped down onto the platform, Becca gripped Justin’s hand.
“We’re a proper couple now,” she smiled. He smiled back at her, and they made their way towards the exit.
“Shall I get us one of these maps?” Justin said, stopping by a small stand full of information leaflets.
“Yeah, sure… we don’t want to get lost! Ooh, hey look at this- ‘Staying in York on a student’s budget’! That must be useful,”
They sat down for a while and read the guides that they’d found, and decided that they’d explore York for a while and then check out a few of the hostels that were listed in the student’s guide.
When they got into the centre of York they found a café to have lunch in, and then went to look round York Castle. Becca was quite interested in the history of the place, but Justin got bored quite quickly and wanted to go and look at the model railway centre that he’d spotted near the train station. After Becca had conceded and spent ten minutes wandering around the stuffy little building, they went roaming around the city centre, trying to find different shops that they could buy their usual shopping from.
They crossed a bridge overlooking the River Ouse and Justin saw a boat pass underneath.
“It’d be really romantic to go on one of those boats, don’t you think?” Justin said, looking at Becca, but she was concentrating on trying to find Lendal Street so that they could check out the Post Office; she wanted to find all the things that they’d need if they were going to live here.
“Can we go on one?” Justin asked, and Becca looked up from her map.
“You know we can’t afford stuff like that,” she replied, hoping that he wouldn’t keep doing this.
“Can’t we be tourists… just for today? I promise, I’ll live off bread and buy clothes from charity shops after today, I just want to have some fun with you,”
“I know you do,” Becca said, wrapping an arm around Justin. “I’m not trying to stop us from having fun or anything, I just keep thinking… what if you don’t get a job, we’ll end up with no money and we’ll regret spending it on things we don’t need,”
“It’s better to regret doing something than to never have done it,” Justin said, raising his eyebrows.
“Oh, go on then!” Becca said, laughing. “But I blame you if our money runs out,”
“It won’t do, I’ll get a good job,” Justin said, putting his hand into the back pocket of Becca’s jeans. “Where do we have to go to get onto this boat then?” he asked, peering at the map.
“Just turn right here, the… whatever you call it… mooring place? It’s along the riverbank here,”
So they went down to the Yorkboat depot and Becca reluctantly handed over the money for two tickets. They had to wait a while; the boat didn’t leave until three o’clock. When it finally arrived, they boarded, sitting upstairs on the outside deck.
“See, this is romantic,” Justin said as Becca snuggled up to him, resting her head in the crook of his neck.
“I don’t care where we are, as long as I’ve got you,” she smiled, and he bent his head down to kiss her.
“You’ll always have me… you’ve got my heart locked up somewhere and I don’t think you’re ever going to give it back,”
Becca shook her head.
“No, never. It’s in a permanent detention,”
“Oh? And what did it do wrong?”
“It attacked my heart, captured it and dragged it off somewhere. So if I don’t get mine back, you aren’t having yours back either,”
“That’s fine with me!” Justin said, and they both burst out laughing. What a strange couple we are, Becca thought to herself.
The boat travelled up the river, passing underneath the bridge that Becca and Justin had not long walked over, and a bored sounding tourist guide pointed out the major attractions of the city, including the Opera House and the York Dungeon.
“Hey, there’s the Post Office!” Becca shouted as they went past the other Yorkboat depot at Lendal Bridge. Several people turned around to look at her questioningly.
“What, doesn’t anyone else like to visit Post Offices when they’re on holiday?” she laughed.
They carried on down the river, past the famous York Wall which surrounded parts of the city, and then past some lovely gardens which were either side of the river. Soon after that, the boat turned around and travelled back, and they were back at the depot and getting off the boat in no time.
“I feel all nice and relaxed now,” Justin said happily.
“Well, remember that feeling, it’s not going to last long… we’ve got hostels to look at!” Becca said, taking his hand and leading him down the street.

TBC

Rain

Title: Rain
Author: JoRowlingRocks/Becca
Rating: PG-13
Genre: Angst/a bit of fluff
Disclaimer: Don’t own The Rasmus, not making any money et cetera, et cetera.
Summary: Short but sweet but not so sweet ficlet- Lauri stands at Aki’s funeral and recalls his best memory.

A/N: Wahey, it's a triple drabble, didn't think I could write something so short... I seem to have developed a disgusting writing style for this, but it sort of wrote itself, so sorry about that!

----

Do you remember the day it rained?
We’d been together for eight months and were, as we always have been since, blissfully happy and in love. When I woke up that morning the rain pounded against our windows, the sky dark and unwelcoming. But in bed with you it was warm and comforting, a total contrast to the outside world. As I woke up, your blue eyes peeped over the top of the quilt. You smiled lovingly at me and touched my arm as you delivered your morning kiss. Your mouth soft as always, your body against mine, it was all too easy to get carried away. Soon we were tenderly making love, lost in each others’ eyes. Afterwards we snuggled up in the quilt, warm and pleasantly tired, listening to the soothing sound of the rain.
“This is amazing,” you whispered, but I had no reply. I was totally mesmerised by you, by our love. That morning, being close to you, safe and dry while the outside world was miserable and wet, was the most amazing feeling in the world. At that moment I thought I could do anything, but I wanted to do nothing except stay with you for eternity. I thought I would.
But after that morning, we went back to the outside world, where everyone and everything is miserable. I didn’t want to be someone who never smiles, but how can I without you?
So now as I stand in this miserable graveyard, staring at this miserable lump of earth that holds the only man I loved, I think about that world we once visited, the one where we were always safe and together forever. Because I can’t go on in this world without you, nothing’s the same. Everything reminds me of you… even the rain.
Title: Run Away, Run Away
Author: JoRowlingRocks [Becca]
Rating: R
Genre: Romance, angst
Disclaimer: I didn't make these people, Channel 4 did!
Summary: Chapter 6- Becca & Justin leave Hollyoaks...

Chapter 1 || Chapter 2 || Chapter 3 || Chapter 4 || Chapter 5

----

When Becca & Justin arrived at the train station, they found that it wasn’t too busy, and there were only three trains leaving in the next hour. One was just going to Chester city centre, one to Coventry and one to York.
“Coventry… that doesn’t sound too appealing,” Becca said. “York? It’s quite a historic place apparently, I’ve never been there though,”
“York it is!” Justin said, smiling. “It leaves in about half an hour, let’s get our tickets,”
They went to the ticket office, and Becca bought tickets for her and her ’15 year old brother’, which made a dull blush creep over her cheeks. She shouldn’t be able to pretend that her boyfriend was a 15 year old! Boyfriend… how weird that sounded. But that’s what he was, a boyfriend. Not a man. She imagined that he probably liked to call her his lover; it made him sound more mature and made her sound more exciting.
“Do you want to get something to eat while we’re here?” Justin asked.
“Nah, I’m alright, I’ve had breakfast… besides, it’s probably expensive here, we have to start saving money!”
“Yeah, I’ll have to stop doing my food shopping at Marks & Spencer, eh?” Justin said seriously, making Becca giggle.
“You’re so cute when you laugh,” Justin said, putting two fingers under Becca’s chin and lifting it up so that he could look at her properly. She looked around for a couple of seconds before leaning in for a kiss.
“We deserve to be happy, you know…” Justin said.
“Do we? After all of the hurt we’re causing by leaving?”
“Yeah, we do… remember that Jake’s hurt you just as badly, you’re just a good person and gave him a second chance… and I’ve not exactly had the happiest life, have I? I deserve some; I’m not that bad a person!”
“No, you’re not,” Becca smiled. “You’re great, and I love you,”
“I never want to be apart from you… ever again,”
“Let’s go and find this train then, and we can start the rest of our lives!”
***
Becca watched out of the train window as it left the platform. No going back now, she thought to herself, she couldn’t exactly ask the train driver to reverse back to the station.
“What are you thinking about, Bex?” Justin’s purring voice interrupted her thoughts.
“Just… stuff,” she said, smiling reassuringly at him. She was sat next to him at a table seat, snuggled tightly up to him with one hand inside his jacket. He had his arms wrapped around her and his face nuzzled into her hair.
“I can’t wait till we get to York,” he said quietly, kissing her ear, her cheek, then finally her lips. “I can’t believe I’ve got you all to myself!”
“I can’t believe it either… it’s still not sunk in, I keep thinking Jake’s going to walk down the train and find us together!”
“You don’t have to worry about Jake anymore… in fact, you never have to think about him again!”
“You do know… we’ll never be able to get married…” Becca said, nervously. She didn’t know if Justin had ever even thought about them getting married.
“I know. I’d love to be your husband, but it’s a small sacrifice to have to make. Besides, what is marriage, anyway? It didn’t do much to help yours and Jake’s relationship, did it?”
“That’s true, but only because you came along and lured me away,” Becca giggled.
“Oh, I lured you, did I? What with? Sweeties and chocolate?”
“I’d only be tempted by chocolate if it was melted all over you,” Becca said, her eyes flashing dirtily.
“That can be arranged…” Justin said. “So what did I lure you away with?”
“With these…” Becca said, gently closing Justin’s eyes and kissing his eyelids. “And these…” She kissed his lips. “And this,” His neck.
“Did you leave a goodbye note or anything?” Becca asked suddenly.
“Yeah, I just told them I loved them and not to look for me… why?”
“Just wondering,” Becca said, smiling and kissing Justin’s hand. “So… what bad habits have I got to look forward to, then?”
“Well… I have a tendency to fart in bed,” Justin said with a laugh.
“As long as I’m in that bed with you, I don’t mind,” Becca replied. “That can’t be the only one!”
“Um… I can’t iron, my Mum does all my ironing for me… I can’t cook very well either,”
“I’ll teach you how, you’re a fast learner,”
“Mm, and you’re the best teacher in the world, Mrs Dean!” Justin said.
“Call me Mrs Burton,” Becca said quietly. Justin grinned widely.
“Okay then, Mrs Burton. Do I get to have lots of private lessons?”
“If you’re a good boy,”
“What if I’m naughty?”
“Then I’ll punish you…”
“I think I like being a naughty boy though,”
“You’ll just have to find out if you like my punishment then, won’t you?”
“Can’t wait…” Justin shivered slightly. “I… er… need the toilet,” he said, smirking. “See you in a minute, yeah?”
Becca smirked too and nodded as Justin left his seat and travelled down the aisle to the small toilet at the end of the carriage. She waited for what seemed like a few minutes, then got up too, went down to the end of the carriage and knocked quietly on the toilet door. It opened slightly and Justin’s face peered out. Becca rushed in to the tiny cubicle, giggling madly.
“I’ve never done this before!” she said, locking the door behind her.
“Me neither,” Justin said.
“I should hope not!” Becca laughed, and shoved Justin against the sink where she unbuckled his jeans and roughly pulled them down to his knees.
“What’s my punishment then?” Justin asked.
“You’ve not been naughty yet! In fact, you’ve been a very good boy…” Becca said, pulling her tights down.
“I doubt that Mrs Webster would see it that way,” Justin said.
“Mrs Webster can go to hell,” Becca said wildly, grabbing a fistful of Justin’s t-shirt and pulling him closer to her. Justin had just pulled his boxers down when there was a tapping on the door.
“Shit!” Justin giggled, hurrying to pull his boxers and trousers back up. Becca bit her lip as she quickly pulled her tights up. Were they going to get thrown off the train? Justin opened the door slowly, and Becca could see two people outside, waiting to use the toilet. Justin strolled out, and Becca quickly followed, seeing the looks of shock on the people’s faces as she scampered past. They laughed all the way back to their seats, where they cuddled up and kissed to keep the desires at bay.

Chapter 7

Out of the Spotlight

Title: Out Of The Spotlight
Author: JoRowlingRocks [Becca]
Rating: PG-13
Genre: Angst/fluff
Disclaimer: This story is fictional, has never happened and I have no links to the band!
Summary: Aki Hakala sells merchandise for a local band called Rasmus. He’s a fan; especially of lead singer Lauri. But does Lauri even know who he is?

----

I finish opening the last box and sit down gratefully in my chair. I’ll be able to have a few minutes peace before the doors open, and people start wanting to buy things. I’ve been unloading and opening these boxes for hours, and it’s not the most exciting or comfortable of jobs. Normally someone else does that, but he’s away, so I have to do it and sell everything later on. Oh the joys of being a merch guy! Crap pay, I’m always rushed off my feet and tired, but I guess it’s quite a good job. I get to see a free gig every night. The band that I sell merch for is called Rasmus, they’re a good band. They come from Helsinki, like me, and they have a lot of fans now. They just released their third album and it’s doing well, so that means a lot of work for me!
So, after what seems like four seconds of sitting on my chair, I get a shout to say that the doors are being opened. I hear a couple of guys jogging down the passage to the doors, and then a torrent of noise fills my ears as people start to filter in. Most of them walk by, with only a casual glance in my direction, they aren’t big enough fans to buy t-shirts just yet. A couple come over and inspect the things that are pinned to a cork board behind me.
“Can I have one of those t-shirts, please?” a girl says, pointing.
“What size?” I ask automatically.
“Er… don’t know… small?”
I reach for the box that I know contains the sort that she wants, take out a t-shirt and fling it onto the counter in front of me. She hands me the money and walks off, examining her purchase.
It’s always the same; this is a very repetitive job. Well, before and after the gig is repetitive. During the gig I don’t pay any attention whatsoever to whether people want to buy merchandise or not. I just pay attention to the band on stage. They put on a good show, get the crowd in a good mood, bouncing along to their crazy songs, which are about the most random things imaginable. I always tend to watch Lauri, the lead singer. He bounces around the stage with such a force that I swear, if he fell over, he’d just bounce upright again. He has bright blonde hair, spiked up all over the place, he’s small (like me- smaller even), and the girls love him. He’s twenty, but he looks about thirteen, and this makes younger girls fancy him and older girls think him adorable. Everyone loves him. Me included.
I don’t really know when it was that I first realised it wasn’t just admiration I felt for Lauri. I just knew that gradually, when I watched Rasmus perform every night, I was starting to pay less and less attention to Eero, Pauli and Janne, and just concentrate on the bundle of blonde at the front of the stage. He had me mesmerised, night after night. After the show I’d sometimes say hi to him, have a quick chat about the show, but I never really thought he knew who I was. He was aware I was a member of his “crew”, but did he know my name? What job I did? Probably not. He was the lead singer of the band, he didn’t need to know these things.
The first time I had the thought that I might have feelings for Lauri, I pushed it out of my mind immediately. Don’t be stupid! I thought to myself. You’re not gay!
But things have a nasty habit of not doing what you want them to. So if I wanted the thought to go away- the more and more it came back. I concentrated so hard on trying not to think about it, that in the end- I always was thinking about it. About him. I came to the conclusion that yes, I was in love with him, but I didn’t tell anyone, of course I didn’t. My friends would laugh at me, my family would disown me, my bosses would fire me. And it wasn’t like I could waltz up to Lauri himself and tell him, I don’t have that kind of courage. Besides, I didn’t want to ruin what little… acquaintance… we already had. So I’d just have to build on that acquaintance, turn it into a friendship to satisfy my cravings for him, and hope that one day they’d go away.
I suddenly realise that two guys are waiting at the counter for me to come out of my daydream and serve them. They buy sweatbands and go off again, along with the rest of the crowd. I check my watch- Rasmus should be on in about half an hour. Lauri will be on in about half an hour. I wonder what he’ll wear tonight… will he take his top off? A pleasurable shudder runs through my body as I think of him topless, but then I shove the thought out of my mind and concentrate hard on a box full of XL hoodies. As I unload them my mind keeps wandering back to Lauri, and it’s doing my head in. I feel so happy because I can see his face in my mind, but at the same time I just want it to GO AWAY! Leave me alone! I throw the box to the floor in anger and hoodies spill out, all over the floor. Grumbling, I pick them up while Mikka carries on serving people.
“Are you okay?” he asks as he turns round to pick up a t-shirt.
“Yeah, fine,” I say nonchalantly, not looking at him. I can’t risk anyone guessing about my feelings for Lauri, so I tend to clam up a lot. I could talk about him all day long, to anyone who’d listen, I really could. But I’m too scared of someone finding out.
I finish piling the hoodies back into their box and turn around to watch the people who are still coming through the doors. I’m just starting to drift off into daydream world when a voice brings me back to Earth.
“You look bored,” it says, and my heart jolts immediately.
“Um… I was just… wishing you’d be on stage soon,” I said nervously, looking at Lauri.
“Hey, Mikka… will you be alright on your own here?” he asks, looking at my colleague. Mikka nods and shrugs.
“Aki, you’re coming with me!”
He knows my name? Wait… he wants me to go somewhere with him? My heart starts racing.
“Umm… okay!” I say, unlocking the gate and lifting up the countertop so that I can get out. “Where to?”
“Backstage, silly!” he giggles, starting to walk along the corridor. I go after him and walk at his side.
“I always see you watching me when we play, so I worked up the nerve to ask you backstage,”
“Worked… worked up the nerve?” I stutter, my heart going so fast it hurts. I can’t believe I’m having a conversation with him… and it’s just my imagination, I know, but it really seems like he’s flirting with me.
He turns his head ever so slightly from its normal position and peeps at me with those green eyes. I feel like they’ve smacked me in the face.
“Yeah… I get kind of shy around you, I don’t know why,” he says, smiling.
Oh God, I think I’m going to faint.
“What for? It’s not like I’m… important or anything…” I say, struggling to say something interesting.
“Who says? Just because you’re not in that spotlight on the stage, doesn’t mean you’re not important,” Lauri says, smiling that butter-wouldn’t-melt smile again. Well, butter might not melt, but I think my legs are. Why is he saying this to me?
“Do you want to say hi to the others?” he says, stopping abruptly, and I come crashing out of my dream world where only us two exist.
“Uh, sure…” I say, because what else can I say? No, I don’t, I just want to leap on you, thanks.
Lauri opens a door on the right and inside are the other three band members, sitting down drinking beer.
“Yo, I brought Aki back for a while, he looked a bit bored at the merch stand,”
The others nod their heads at me.
“Catch, Aki!” says Pauli, the guitarist, throwing a beer at me. Wow, I’m drinking beer with Lauri.
So I sit there, trying to join in their conversations, or rather, trying to look good, and trying even harder not to make a fool of myself. Then a man comes into the room and says that Rasmus are expected on stage in a few minutes. So they all get up and start fiddling around with their guitars and stuff.
“Shall we go then?” Eero, the bassist, says, and the others nod.
“Oh, hey! I’ve lost one of my hairgrips!” Lauri says, feeling in his hair. “You guys go on, I’ll be there in a second,”
I’m not sure whether to leave or not.
“Do you want me to help you look for it?” I ask timidly.
“It’s alright, I’ve got thousands of the things,” he says, producing one from thin air.
“Oh, okay,” I say, and go to leave.
“Wait!” he says quickly, and I turn around. “Shut the door,”
I close it and feel the butterflies come back, angry and desperate to get out of my stomach, it seems.
“Aki… do you… um… do you… do you have feelings for me?” he mumbles. I’m paralysed. How on Earth could he possibly know?
“What do you mean?” I ask, my voice weak. He’s going to get me sacked… no, he’s going to tell everyone when he’s on stage.
“You know what I mean,” he says, and I notice that his voice is quiet too. I have no idea what to say, I can’t just tell him that I’m in love with him! He’ll think I’m insane, I hardly even know him! So I just stand there. I’m shaking. I pray mentally for help- I’m not even religious.
“Aki? Are you okay?” he asks, cocking his head to the side and looking me straight in the eyes. I suddenly feel violently sick. I turn around and make a dash for it, seizing the door handle and running full pelt down the corridor.
“Aki!” a voice shouts behind me, and I can hear his footsteps pounding after me. “Aki, wait!”
I keep running, but of course it’s no use, he’s faster than me, and he’s catching me up in no time. He runs level with me and then stops, grabs me and throws me against the wall. Oh God, he’s going to hit me. His hands raise up and I flinch, I’ve never been much of a fighter. I close my eyes (I haven’t got time to protect myself, so ignorance is the next best thing), but then… there is no punch, no kick, not even a slap. His hands are on me, but they’re on my shoulders, and they aren’t inflicting pain. I open my eyes to see him looking worriedly at me.
“Are you afraid of me?” he asks, frowning. I don’t know how to reply. I’m not afraid of him, I’m afraid of my feelings for him. Men love women, and women love men, that’s how I was brought up. Hot as it can be, women do not love women, and men don’t love men either.
“Silly,” he whispers, in that same oh-so-cute voice as earlier. “There’s nothing to be afraid of,”
For a second I get the strange thought that he can read my mind, and I don’t know what to do. He’s so close to me, I’d love to kiss him, but I daren’t. What if he’s playing around? This is probably a dare or something. Yeah, a dare. He only knows my name because he went and found it out so that he could do the dare properly. I look away from him.
“Aki, what’s wrong?”
I stare at the floor. If this is a dare, or whatever else, he’ll tell everyone and I’ll have to quit my job. But if it isn’t, and I run away… I could be missing out on something big. I look back at him, those green eyes staring back at me, and something snaps inside. All or nothing, I think to myself, and reach forward. I grab his face in my hands and pull it towards mine, and then kiss him with all the love that I can muster (and that’s a lot). My legs go weak as he kisses back, so I lean back against the wall and his weight presses into my shoulders.
I’ve never kissed a man before. His stubble tickles my cheeks and chin, his lips aren’t as delicate as a woman’s, and his tongue isn’t as soft and gentle. But I like it. It’s Lauri, it’s all Lauri, I’ve dreamed about this for so long and it’s better than I ever could have expected. I feel my eyes welling up and try to blink them away but only succeed in forcing them down my cheeks. Lauri notices, doesn’t say anything, just kisses my tears.
“I’ve got to go on stage,” he whispers, pulling away. Once again, I fall back down to Earth. The rest of his band are waiting for him. I nod.
“I’ll see you after the show… watch in the wings, and wait for me,” he says. He kisses me, very softly, and then turns around and runs off to the stage door. I’m left standing, shocked, against the wall. Maybe God does exist.

THE END

Run Away, Run Away

Title: Run Away, Run Away
Author: JoRowlingRocks [Becca]
Rating: PG-13/R
Genre: Romance, angst
Disclaimer: Channel 4 own these characters, not me!
Summary: Chapter 5- Becca prepares to run away with Justin.

Chapter 1 || Chapter 2 || Chapter 3 || Chapter 4

----

Jake came to bed not long afterwards.
“Sorry about being moody earlier,” he said. “I was just worried about where you were,”
“I know, and I am sorry I didn’t let you know,” Becca said.
“Forgiven?” Jake asked, pulling the covers over himself and cuddling up to his wife.
“Yeah,” Becca smiled, hoping that Jake didn’t want to do anything other than cuddle; she didn’t think she could stomach it at the minute. Jake, it seemed, had other ideas as his hand slunk under Becca’s nightie. She wondered how she could stop him without annoying him again, but she couldn’t think of a way, so she just lay there and let him carry on. After a few minutes, it disgusted her that he wasn’t aware that she wasn’t enjoying it, and for a second she relished the fact that she was leaving him forever in the morning.
She let out a little sigh as Jake’s weight shifted from next to her to on top of her, and turned her head to the side so that she wouldn’t have to look at his face as he continued.
***
Becca woke up earlier than usual. Jake was asleep, his arm slumped across her chest. She picked it up and dropped it by his side, quietly getting out of bed and going into the bathroom. When she got back, she saw that Jake was awake.
“You’re up early,” Jake said as she sat down on the edge of the bed.
“No point in trying to get back to sleep, is there?” Becca said, starting to get dressed. Jake sat up.
“Get back into bed for a bit,” Jake smiled.
“No, it’s alright, I’m going to make some breakfast… you have clean clothes on the ironing board, by the way,”
“You don’t need to make breakfast yet! You’ve got loads of time before you need to be off to school… go on, come back to bed,”
“I said no!” Becca said, a little too harshly. “I just… I want to stay up, now I’m up, okay?”
“Fine…” Jake said, sighing, and Becca felt sorry for him again.
She finished getting dressed and went out into the kitchen, where she started making toast. Her heart was racing already. How was she going to make this work? She had to meet Justin as soon as Jake had left for work, but she normally left before him, with Nancy. She’d have to leave, walk almost all the way to school, to give Jake enough time to leave, and then go back, pretending she’d forgotten something.
It was only when coils of smoke rose in front of Becca’s eyes that she realised she’d burnt her toast. Someone must have knocked the dial again. Sighing, Becca threw the blackened toast into the bin and took out two fresh slices. What was the point of having such a high rating on a toaster, anyway? Who wants burnt toast?
The early morning passed by excruciatingly slowly. Maybe Becca should have taken Jake’s advice and gone back to bed, at least that way she wouldn’t be sitting around waiting for the minutes to tick by.
Finally, eight o’clock arrived. Becca stood by the door, nervously tapping her foot as Nancy collected together her school things.
“Why are you so eager to get to school this morning?” Nancy asked as they went down the stairs and out onto the street.
“No reason, I was just bored… I got up a bit early and had nothing to do,” Becca said quickly.
“Have you got a full timetable today?” Nancy asked.
“I’ve got a free lesson third, but apart from that, yeah,”
“Ooh, I might come and see you then!”
“Oh, no don’t do that… I’ve… I’ve got lots of marking to do, I want to get it out of the way,”
Becca carried on walking with Nancy until they were on the same road as the school; she didn’t want Nancy offering to walk back with her.
“Oh, crap! I’ve left my Year 10 workbooks at home! I’ll have to go back, I’ll see you later, yeah?” she said, hoping she was being convincing.
“Oh, alright then… won’t you be late?” Nancy said, checking her watch.
“I’ll be alright, I’ll be quick! Bye Nancy!” Becca said, and turned around. When Nancy had started walking again, Becca turned around and watched her go. She had no idea when she’d see her little sister again.
Becca went back to the flat quickly, she just wanted to meet Justin and go, no more time wasting. Very quietly, she opened the door to the flat and checked in every room that Jake wasn’t there before she retrieved the bags from under her bed.

Got the bags, I’ll be with you in a minute xxx

Becca searched for ‘Lucy’ in her phonebook and sent the message. She struggled to carry the bags out of the bedroom and put them down by the sofas, looking around for a piece of paper. She found one, and took a pen out of her jacket pocket.

Jake, I’m really sorry, but I couldn’t do this anymore. I never meant to hurt you.
Nancy, go back and stay with Mum. She needs you, and you need her.
Becca xx

A tear trickled down Becca’s cheek. How could she do this to them? She stared at the piece of paper in her hand, and then, dream-like, put it down on the coffee table.

Can you meet me at the flat? I don’t think I can carry both of the bags xxx

Becca sat down and waited for Justin to come up to the flat. There was a knock on the door and she almost jumped out of her skin. She got up, looked through the spy hole to check that it was Justin, and let him in.
“Morning,” Justin said, a smile creeping over his face. She smiled back. Seeing him smile calmed her down.
“Are you ready?” he asked, holding her hand.
“Yeah, I’m ready,” she said nervously, looking around her flat. Justin picked his bag up and she did the same. Still holding her hand, Justin led Becca towards the door.
“You okay?” he asked, squeezing her hand reassuringly, because Becca had started crying.
“This is so wrong…” she said, casting one last wild look around her home before shutting the door. Justin put his bag down outside the door and hugged Becca gently.
“It’s alright,” he whispered, over and over.
Once she’d calmed down, they set off again, and once they’d stepped out into the street they were silent, casting nervous glances around every few seconds, just wanting to get away.
“Justin…” Becca said. “Where are we going?”
“I don’t know. Let’s choose when we get to the train station, yeah?”
“Okay… what… what sort of place do you want to live in?”
“Um, I don’t mind. Somewhere like this… not really busy but near a city, so we’re not isolated,”
Becca nodded. “Me too. But how are we going to decide? And where are we going to stay tonight?”
“We’ll just pick the first place that sounds alright to live in… and until we find a flat, we’ll stay in a hostel or something,”
Becca nodded again. “This is surreal, it really is… I can’t believe we’re doing it,”
“Me neither,” Justin said, but he had a big smile on his face. “I love you… thank you,”
“I love you too,” Becca said, putting her bag down on the pavement and hugging Justin. She nestled her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes, blocking out everything except the feel of his t-shirt on her cheek and his hands stroking her hair. She looked up at his face, saw his bright blue eyes and her heart jolted, as it did every time she looked into them. She reached behind his neck and pulled him down to her lips, kissed him passionately.
“Let’s go, there still might be people around we know,” Justin said when they’d finally pulled apart, so they carried on the fairly long walk to the train station.

Chapter 6 || Chapter 7

Forever

Title: Forever
Author: JoRowlingRocks [Becca]
Rating: NC17 overall, this chapter PG-13
Genre: Fluff
Disclaimer: These events have never happened, I don't know The Rasmus [unfortunately].
Summary: Set when Aki & Lauri are 14- they're best friends but live far away from each other.

Chapter 1 || Chapter 2

----

Aki woke up early the next morning and raced downstairs. He skidded into the kitchen.
“Morning Mum!” he said. “Have you rang Lauri’s mum yet?”
“Calm down, Aki!” said his mum, putting down a plate of toast. “No, not yet, it’s only half past seven, she might not even be awake yet! I’ll do it while you’re at school, and when you come home, I’ll tell you what she said,”
“Alright then. Can you ask her… if Lauri can’t stay here, could I go and stay with them?” Aki asked hopefully, ripping the toast up with his teeth.
“That’s a bit cheeky! Inviting yourself to stay over!” his mum laughed. Aki shrugged.
“Lauri will only ask me tonight if I don’t ask, what’s the point in wasting time?”
“Fine, fine, I’ll do it! I’m sure she will let you stay, Liisa’s a lovely woman, she won’t just stop you and Lauri from seeing each other!”
The rest of the day went far too slowly for Aki’s liking. Every time he looked at the clock at school it seemed as though no time had passed. When the bell rang for end of school he ran all the way home and burst through the back door out of breath.
“MUM, HAVE YOU CALLED LIISA?” he shouted. “YES!” came the half amused, half annoyed answer from upstairs. Aki took the stairs two at a time and went into his parents’ bedroom.
“What did she say?” He asked excitedly, bouncing on the balls of his feet. He stopped when he saw the look on his mum’s face.
“Well… I’m sorry Aki… but… she wants you to go over on the day after your birthday! Is that okay?” she said, laughing at the look on Aki’s face.
“Mum, don’t scare me like that! Really? I get to see Lauri on Sunday?”
“Yep! And luckily for you it’s half term the week after so you can stay all week if you so wish!”
Aki’s eyes glittered in excitement.
“Can I ring Lauri and tell him? Or does he know? But can I ring him anyway?” Aki asked quickly, dancing on the spot.
“Go on then,” his mum said, smiling.
***
“YOU CAN COME?!” Lauri’s voice screeched down the phone. Aki laughed and held the phone away from his ear for a second.
“Yeah, I can come! I’m going to see you in… four days, wow! I can’t wait!” Aki danced excitedly around his bedroom, a huge smile playing on his lips.
“Me neither, it’s going to be great! You can come to band with me!” Lauri whooped.
“Yeah!” Aki exclaimed. “I can’t wait to hear you! Oh I’m so excited now, I could burst!”
“I know! I want to scream or something, I’m so happy I’m going to see you again!” Lauri said slightly breathlessly.
“The next few days are going to go so slowly, though… because I’m so looking forward to the weekend… my birthday, and then seeing you…”
“That reminds me! I won’t have to post your present then, you’ll just have to have it a day late… we can have a birthday celebration thing when you come over… I’ll go and ask my mum, no, tell my mum… I’ll ring you back in a bit!”
“Alright! Talk to you later… Bye!” Aki put the phone down and jumped around his bedroom. He was suddenly so full of bouncy energy, he wanted to leap down the stairs or run a marathon… he got out his drumsticks, turned his music up as loud as it would go and pounded the living daylights out of anything he could reach with the drumsticks. He backed happily out of his bedroom, slid down the banister and ran into the living room.
“Hello Dad!” he said breathlessly, whacking the shelf to the side of him as he came in.
“What are you so happy about?” his Dad asked rather rudely.
“I’m going to stay at Lauri’s at the weekend!”
“Ah… that explains it… you and him, I swear…”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Aki said, frowning suddenly.
“Nothing, nothing… you’re just… very close to him…” his Dad said weakly.
“Yeah, I am. So watch your mouth!” Aki said, walking out of the living room and crashing into the kitchen.
***
The days leading up to Aki’s birthday, as he had predicted, went very slowly. The worst of it was double Maths, when the clock actually did stop, it wasn’t just Aki’s imagination, and they had to do exam papers in silence. But, eventually, Saturday morning came around. Aki woke up fairly early, and could hear that his parents were already awake and doing something downstairs. He sat up sharply and jumped out of bed. He raced down the stairs and opened the living room door.
“Happy birthday Aki!” his Mum and Dad chimed in unison. They each took a step away from each other, to reveal a glittering blue five-piece drum kit. Aki’s mouth dropped open.
“Is that mine?” he whispered, shocked. His Mum nodded proudly. Aki clapped a hand to his mouth.
“Thank you!” he squeaked, running over to his Mum and hugging her tightly. When he pulled away his eyes were watering slightly with happy tears. He ran back upstairs to fetch his drumsticks and came back down, eyeing the drums up, in awe. He sat down at the small stool behind the drums and lightly tapped one of them. He giggled to himself at the sound it made. He tapped his foot for the bass drum and tapped the cymbal lightly.
“Wow, I can actually do it!” he exclaimed proudly.
“Do you want to open your other presents?” his Dad asked, smiling, and indicated a small pile of unopened presents.
Aki jumped off of the stool and quickly unwrapped his other presents. They were the usual- chocolates, socks, disgusting-looking sweaters from distant relatives… then in amongst the pile of cards, there was one from Lauri.

Dear Aki,
You like them? I thought you would… I really have to come over and have a go on them sometime! Have a great birthday, you deserve to, and I’ll see you tomorrow. I can’t wait.
From Lauri

Aki smiled brightly at the card and took it upstairs to his bedroom. He put it in a drawer along with every other letter he’d ever received from Lauri. He went back downstairs and spent the rest of the morning pounding his drums as loud as he could. He went out with his Mum and Dad for lunch at a restaurant and then went to see a film with some friends. He wasn’t really concentrating on the film- he was too excited about the fact that soon he’d be with Lauri! He brought a couple of friends back to have a go on the drum kit but they left quite early so that Aki could get his things packed for Lauri’s house.
Aki went to bed quite early. The sooner he went to bed, the sooner it would be Sunday, and the sooner he could see Lauri. However, this plan was dashed when Aki woke up at four thirty in the morning and didn’t go back to sleep. He lay impatiently in his bed for two hours, until he could stand it no more, and got up to have breakfast. By half seven he was in his parents’ bedroom, nagging them to get up so that they could go. After much grumbling they got up and Aki sat in the living room, flicking channels on the TV and looking at the clock every minute.
After what seemed like hours, but had only actually been thirty minutes, Aki’s Mum came downstairs and announced that she was ready to go. Aki jumped up and sprinted out to the car. The car drive to Lauri’s house was possibly the most drawn-out drive Aki had ever experienced. It took just over an hour and a half. The car turned down Lauri’s road, that Aki had been down a few times before, and butterflies started to rise in Aki’s stomach. He craned his neck to see Lauri’s house, and it came into view. It was an ordinary-looking house; detached, a silver car outside, cream curtains still drawn in the windows.
Before the car had even completely come to a stop Aki had jumped out, dragging his bag behind him, and knocked on the front door. As soon as Aki took his hand away from the door there was the sound of a key turning and the door was flung open.

TBC

Title: Run Away, Run Away
Author: JoRowlingRocks [Becca]
Rating: R overall, this chapter PG-13
Genre: Romance, angst
Disclaimer: Channel 4's, not mine!
Summary: Chapter 4, Becca/Justin... if you're reading, you should know what it's about by now XD

A/N: Holy moly, I have readers =P This chapter, you'll be sad to know, doesn't [really] contain Justin!

Chapter 1 || Chapter 2 || Chapter 3

----

Becca made her way over to the building block where Louise worked, she wasn’t sure if Louise would still be there or not. She wondered what she should say to explain her unexpected visit; she couldn’t tell Louise that she was leaving.
But Louise wasn’t in her office. In fact, there was no-one there, and the door was locked. Becca looked at her watch and saw that it was almost six o’clock. She knew that Evissa was still open, maybe Louise would be over there. Becca wasn’t quite sure whether Louise was in a relationship with Sean or not, but they were certainly attracted to each other and weren’t apart all that often these days.
When Becca got to the salon ten minutes later, she found that her suspicions were correct. Louise was perched on the edge of Sean’s desk when she got there, and it looked as though they were having an argument when Becca stepped into the office and Louise turned around.
“Becca, hey! I haven’t seen you in a while!” Louise said jumping off the desk and moving forwards to greet her friend.
“Yeah, I know, that’s why I thought I’d come and see you, I was just passing by and thought you might be here,”
“Do you want to go for a drink?” Louise said, looking at the clock above Sean’s desk. “We can go to The Loft if you want?”
“Yeah, okay,” Becca said, thinking that she’d rather be out with Louise than at home with Jake, it would be too uncomfortable.
“Why don’t we ask Clare and Mandy along?” Louise said. “It might help Mandy, she’s not really been out since…”
“Yeah, that’s a good idea, why don’t you text them and ask them to meet us there? We can go down now,”
Louise nodded and took out her phone.
“Bye, Sean,” she called as the two women walked out of the salon.
As they walked down the street, Becca was shocked to see Justin walking towards them. She saw his eyes flicker in shock too, but he did a good job of looking moody and uninterested, as usual. As he got closer, he looked at Becca for a second and then down at his hand, which was making a thumbs-up sign. He had a questioning look on his face. Becca inclined her head slightly and gave him a thumbs-up back, and at this Justin couldn’t help but smile slightly. He passed them wordlessly and Becca wanted to turn and watch him walk down the street, but didn’t dare, even though Louise was concentrating on her phone.
As they climbed the stairs to The Loft, Louise’s phone went off.
“Clare’s already here, working, she says she’ll go on her break now,” Louise read from her phone as they entered the club. They saw Clare on the other side of the room, waved for her to come over.
“Hey you two!” Clare said as she came over. “Are we having a girly night out?”
“Just a drink, catch-up time, I think!” Louise said. “We’ve invited Mandy too, I don’t know if she’ll want to come out though,”
“Oh, I hope she does… it’ll do her good to get out,” Clare said, smiling.
“So… does anyone have any news?” Louise asked, settling back in her seat.
“Well, you already know Louise, but Becca… look!” said Clare, thrusting her left hand forwards. Becca’s eyes widened at the beautiful diamond ring on her finger.
“Wow, congratulations!” Becca exclaimed, shocked that things were moving so fast for Max and Clare, they hadn’t been together that long, had they?
“Thanks!” Clare said, her face shining with excitement. “We haven’t set a date yet but we want it to be as soon as possible,”
“Actually… I have some news too,” Becca said, wondering why on Earth she was saying it.
“What is it?” Louise asked.
“I’m… I’m pregnant,” she replied, forcing her face into what she hoped was a convincing smile.
“Oh my God!” Clare and Louise both shouted at the same time.
“You and Jake must be so pleased!” Louise said, reaching forward to give Becca a hug.
“Yeah, we are,” Becca lied, nodding.
The three women spent the rest of the night catching up and generally gossiping, but this came to an end when OB found out that Clare wasn’t behind the bar working; they had a spectacular row and Clare stormed out of the club. Louise decided that she needed to get home because she had to be up early for work the next morning, so Becca headed back to the flat, worried about what Jake would say when she got in.
***
“Where the hell have you been?” came a voice as soon as Becca walked through the door to the flat.
“Sorry, me, Louise and Clare went out for a drink and got a bit carried away,”
“You could have let me know! I made us dinner!” Jake said, gesturing to the table where a plate of food sat abandoned in Becca’s place.
“I know I should have, I didn’t realise what the time was, sorry… I’ll warm the food up and eat it,”
“Hmm,” Jake observed, and returned to watching the TV.
“Where’s Nancy?” Becca asked.
“In her room, where she usually is…” Jake said nonchalantly.
Becca wondered why Jake was in a bad mood. Was it because he’d found a bag full of a sixteen year-old’s clothing under their bed? No, it couldn’t be… Jake wasn’t the type to be devious, he would have confronted her as soon as she walked through the door.
Becca sullenly ate her reheated meal and thought of the day that was to follow. She had no idea where she and Justin were going to go, she hadn’t really thought about it. Maybe they’d just get on the soonest train and see where it took them. She didn’t know. She wondered how long it would take everyone to realise that she’d gone, and then how much longer to realise that she was with Justin. Would the police come after her? Could she be arrested? Would her family ever forgive her if she was? Would they forgive her in any case, for running away and leaving her little sister alone?
Becca felt her heart rate rise again. She had to stop thinking about it; it was making her too nervous. She finished eating her food and went into Nancy’s room to talk to her for a while. She wanted to spend that last bit of time with her.
Before long though, Nancy wanted to go to bed, so Becca had to leave her, and she went into her own room and quietly got into bed. Her heart thumped almost painfully as she thought of the bulging bags hidden away underneath her; how easily they could be found. She was so close to being caught out, it was sickening.

Chapter 5 || Chapter 6 || Chapter 7

Love and the Potions Master

Title: Love and the Potions Master
Author: JoRowlingRocks [Becca]
Rating: NC17 overall, this chapter PG-13
Genre: Romance, adventure
Disclaimer: These characters are so brilliant that only JK Rowling could have made them =P
Summary: Hermione starts to have feelings for the teacher she thought she hated...

Chapter 1

----

“Miss Granger? MISS GRANGER?” called the voice of Professor Snape. Hermione snapped into consciousness. Professor Snape was standing a few feet away from her desk, looking thunderous. “Did you want me for something?” he asked dangerously.
“Erm... no... why? Hermione asked timidly.
“I was just wondering why you were calling me? It seems that you were, perhaps, dreaming about me? I must have been very friendly with you in this dream for us to be on first-name terms,” he said coldly. The Slytherins laughed and Hermione blushed.
“I think detention, tonight at 7 o’clock, might make you reconsider falling asleep in my class again,” he sneered, sweeping himself back to his desk.
*
Hermione, Harry and Ron made their way across the courtyard later that day for dinner. The day had been long and tough, and Ron in particular was ready for some food.
“Cor, I can’t wait to get stuck into this lot!” he exclaimed as they sat down. He began to pile every food that he could reach onto his plate until everything began to wobble precariously.
“Watime aveuga tenon snape? Asked Ron, his mouth as usual stuffed with food.
“Seven o’clock,” said Hermione smoothly. After hearing Ron talking like that nearly every school night for seven years, Hermione and Harry had learnt to decipher what Ron was saying.
“How long d’you think you’ll be?” asked Harry, laughing at Ron’s bulging face.
“Don’t know, next year by the look on Snape’s face!” said Hermione glumly.
“So, what were you dreaming bout? You were all ‘Severus! Severus!’” said Ron, in a mock girl’s voice.
“I can’t remember having it,” said Hermione quickly. She had, of course, remembered the dream, but she wasn’t about to share it with anyone else.
After dinner Hermione, Harry and Ron headed back to Gryffindor Tower. Hermione had a shower before going down to the dungeons. She knocked nervously on the door.
“Enter,” came a bored voice from the other side. Hermione slowly pushed the door open. Snape was sitting at his desk, as usual, poring over a pile of essays. He looked up and his eyes flashed sharply.
“Ah, Miss Granger. So good of you to join me,” he said. “Do sit down. Unless you’re going to fall asleep again, that is...”
Hermione sat down in her usual seat with apprehension.
“Normally in detentions I give essays to my students to write, but I have a horrible feeling that you would like doing that. So I’ve thought of an alternative... punishment. Follow me please,”
Snape swept off of his stool and strode towards the door, cape billowing behind him. He led Hermione out of the dungeons and along the hallway by the main entrance. He stopped by the tapestry of Edvard Helgus and pushed it aside. Behind it stood a red door set with gold furnishings. Snape muttered a password so quietly that Hermione couldn’t hear what she said, and turned to look at her suspiciously before turning the handle and allowing her in.
She stepped into a corridor that she could tell at once led to the staff quarters. The carpet was not shabby or dirty like the ones in the main corridors of Hogwarts. The brackets holding the flame torches were also gold and the windows had glass fitted into them to keep out the cold. Snape walked briskly along the corridor until he came to a black door on which was a plaque with the silver letters ‘S.S.’
Again Snape muttered the password as quietly as he could but this time Hermione just made out the word ‘serpent’. The door swung open and Hermione stepped into Snape’s quarters.
Everything was either black, green or silver. On the left was a black leather sofa in front of which was a small blackwood table. On the wall hung a Slytherin banner and next to the banner was a blackwood bookcase, filled with books about potions, Slytherins and famous Dark wizards. On the right was a silver oven, a black dining table with two chairs and a perch on which sat a large black bird. It cawed and a wave of cold seemed to flood through the room. Snape didn’t notice.
Straight ahead was a door and when Hermione looked at it Snape said “If you ever go through that door, Miss Granger, you will be expelled from Hogwarts. Now then, to your punishment. I want this place clean by the time I get back in about three hours. You are not to leave until I return, and if it isn’t clean you will stay until it is. Do I make myself clear?”
“Yes, Professor,” said Hermione meekly.
“Oh yes, and do not expect this to be like our cosy little nights last year. I should have known better than to do that project and you seem to have got it into your head that we had become… friends… of some sort. I can assure you that we are not. You may begin,”
And with that, Snape swept from the room and Hermione could hear his footsteps echoing down the corridor outside.
“Well, he didn’t say I couldn’t use magic,” she said to herself, and got out her wand. This wouldn’t be too difficult.
She turned to the area with the sofa and bookcase. Upon first look, the place looked clean but on closer inspection the sofa had morsels of food on it and spilled potion ingredients. Many of the books were covered in dusts except for one large, new-looking volume entitled ‘The Sources of Dark, and How to Conquer Them’.
Hermione quickly removed the dust with a charm, and set about cleaning the sofa. The food came off easily with a few ‘scourgify’ charms but the potion stains were much harder to remove and Hermione was grateful that she had read that cleaning book in Diagon Alley before term started.
One hour later and Hermione had cleaned everywhere else that she was allowed to go. She wasn’t allowed to leave, so she picked up ‘The Sources’ and sat down on the sofa to read it.

The most notorious Dark wizard of our time is Tom Marvolo Riddle, better known as Lord Voldemort. Voldemort wreaked havoc on the wizarding world until 1981 when a baby named Harry Potter somehow survived the Aveda Kedavra curse and banished Voldemort’s powers.
However, in 1991 Voldemort possessed the body of a young man and tried to steal Nicholas Flamel’s most notable invention, known as The Philosopher’s Stone, which would make him immortal. Harry Potter, who at the time was in attendance at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry where the Stone was kept, managed to foil Voldemort’s attempts of getting to the Stone.
Recently, however, Lord Voldemort came back into full power and proceeded to kill over one hundred people, both wizards and muggles, before the combined efforts of Harry Potter and Albus Dumbledore (headmaster of Hogwarts) managed to overcome him and once more, Voldemort fled.
Today, Voldemort is still alive and at large. It is widely believed that Harry Potter is the only one who has the power to kill Voldemort, and this has earned him the title ‘The Chosen One.’

Hermione snapped the book shut. She had read this with Harry before, and in her opinion it was nonsense. It contained every single fabrication made by Gilderoy Lockhart; it seemed as though the writer was unaware that Lockhart was a liar with no memory of his life. Hermione smiled as she remembered when, five years ago, Lockhart had come to teach Defence Against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts and she had completely fallen in love with him. She snorted as she remembered how she had encircled every mention of his name in all her books with little hearts and how at the start of her third year she had had to seek Professor McGonagall’s advice on how to get them off again.
Hermione sat in the cold room for about another hour, staring at the bird until Snape returned.
“You seem to have done quite a good job, Miss Granger,’ he said, smiling a little against his will.
“Thank you, Professor,” said Hermione. “May I go now?”
“No, there's one more thing I'd like you to do,” Snape said quickly as though he wanted to say it before he changed his mind.
“What is it?” asked Hermiome.
“Clean my bedroom,” he said.
“You'll let me in there?” she said, meaning the door which she had not been allowed through.
“Not exactly. My bedroom is the other side of that room, but you'll have to keep your eyes closed when you walk through it.”
“Okay, how long will it take for me to clean it?” she asked, wanting to go to bed as soon as possible.
“Not too long, Im very good in the bedroom,” he said, before he could stop himself. Hermione raised her eyebrows in shock.
Snape opened the door and motioned for Hermione to go through. Then he quickly walked round behind her as she shut her eyes and put his hands over them.
They were very cold and made Hermione jump, but she didn't say anything. She could feel Snape breathing heavily behind her and willed herself to keep calm as her heart beat faster and faster. Hermione heard the click of a door and the hands were removed from her eyes. She was in a big room, with a blackwood four-poster bed under a silver bedspread. Black curtains hung at the window and on the floor was a deep green carpet, unlike the rest of the place which was bare wood.
There was a small blackwood wardrobe and a bedside dresser next to the bed. On the dresser was a silver photo frame which was face down, a comb and a bottle of potion.
She turned round to look at Snape and saw an expression she had seen in his eyes once before; in her dream. Chills ran through her body and she crossed her arms across her chest nervously. She hoped Snape hadn't noticed anything.
“Will you... be staying... in here?” she asked tentatively.
“Yes,” he said. Hermione turned to the bed with a gulp and straightened the pillows and quilt. She couldn't really see anything else that needed cleaning. She turned back round to Snape.
"What else needs doing?" she asked.
For a while, he didn’t reply. They stared at each other warily, and then Snape frowned.
“You can go now,” he said, his voice hard.
“I… I don’t have to,” she said meekly.
“Yes you do! Get out!” he shouted.
Hermione closed her eyes and ran out of the room, then opened her eyes and ran out of Snape's quarters and right out of the staff corridor. She didn't stop running until she had reached Gryffindor Tower. She climbed the spiral staircase with tears in her eyes and promised herself that she wouldn't mention a word of this to anyone, especially not Lavender or Parvati. Nice as they were, it would be round the whole school in a week if she did.

TBC

Run Away, Run Away

Title: Run Away, Run Away
Author: JoRowlingRocks [Becca]
Rating: R overall, this chapter PG-13
Genre: Romance, angst
Disclaimer: I don't own these characters, Channel 4 do.
Summary: Chapter 3 of this Becca/Justin fic, set before Jake finds out about the affair. Becca contemplates running away with Justin.

Chapter 1 || Chapter 2
----

“Got everything?” Becca asked, looking around Justin’s room. He’d emptied his drawers, but the posters of half-naked models remained on his walls and his schoolbooks were still left in a pile on the floor.
“Yeah, I don’t think I need anything else, do I? I’ve got my stuff out of the bathroom,”
“Okay, let’s go to mine… I hope Jake isn’t there…”
“He’ll be at work, won’t he?”
“He should be, but sod’s law says that this will be the day that he comes back early!”
Justin opened the door to his bedroom, struggling to carry the heavy bag. He went down the stairs and checked out of the living room window to see if anyone was outside.
“The coast’s clear,” Justin smiled, and Becca opened the front door cautiously. They descended the steps outside the house and crossed the road, over to the door leading to Becca and Jake’s flat. Becca looked around again, checking that no-one was watching, then opened the door and quickly climbed the stairs.
When she got into the flat, she was relieved to find that Jake wasn’t there. Justin followed her in, looking around warily.
“I’ll be quick,” she said quietly, jogging over to the bedroom door. Justin put his bag down and followed her in.
“Want some help?” he asked, watching her pull clothes out of her wardrobe.
“Um… my bag’s in here somewhere,” she said, looking at the mess in the wardrobe. She spotted her bag, pulled it out and gave it to Justin, who started putting clothes into it.
“We’re really doing it, aren’t we?” he asked. “We are going to be together?”
“Yes, we are,” Becca said, stopping what she was doing to turn around and kiss Justin.
“Nothing’s going to stop us? Not like last time…”
“No. I promise, we’re going to do this,” Becca said, pulling underwear out of a drawer and stuffing it into the bag.
Five minutes later, the bag was packed.
“Right, so… we’ll go first thing tomorrow morning, yeah?” Becca said. Justin nodded.
“School’s not quite finished yet, you could go and talk to Mrs Webster now?” Becca said, looking at her watch and seeing that there was 15 minutes left of period six.
“Okay, I’ll go now. Shall I see you again later or shall we just meet tomorrow morning?”
“Meet tomorrow morning, I’m going to hide these bags somewhere, then I’ll go and see Mandy and Louise, I want to see them before I go,”
“‘Kay, I’ll see you tomorrow morning then. Meet me at the bottom of the steps near my house, as soon as Jake’s gone for work, yeah?”
Becca nodded.
“Right. I’ll go then. I love you, Becca,”
“Love you too,” Becca said, leaning forward and kissing him. “See you tomorrow,”
Justin went out of the bedroom and a few seconds later she heard the front door click shut. She shoved their bags under the bed and went into the living room area, where there was a pile of ironing to be done. Quickly, she did it, so that she could tell Jake later to take clean clothes from the ironing pile instead of the wardrobe, that way he wouldn’t see that her clothes were gone.
She looked around her flat, saddened that she would be leaving it tomorrow. Was she doing the right thing? Surely not, but she had to do it. She couldn’t give Justin up, and she was too much of a coward to leave Jake and try and make a go of it with Justin in Hollyoaks. Maybe it would work, maybe it wouldn’t.
Sighing, she put the iron away and pulled on her coat. She’d go and see Mandy first, check in Il Gnosh first and if she wasn’t there, head over to the flat. Louise would probably still be at work in the uni.
Becca quickly looked at herself in the mirror before she left. The reflection was pitiful; she had bags under her eyes, which were red, her whole face seemed to sag somehow, and when she smiled it didn’t reach her eyes. She frowned at herself and turned away, opening the door to the flat.
***
Becca pressed the buzzer to Mandy and Tony’s flat. Only Dom had been at Il Gnosh, so maybe Mandy and Tony were having some time together. Becca didn’t really want to interrupt them, but it was important- she had to say bye to her best friend. Besides, from what Mandy was saying, her and Tony hadn’t been getting along too well recently anyway.
The door made a clicking noise so Becca pushed it open and climbed up the stairs, where Mandy was waiting at the door.
“Hey Bex!” Mandy said, obviously happy to see her. “To what do I owe the pleasure?”
“Just wanted to come over and see you,” Becca lied, going into the flat. “How have you been?”
“Well…” Mandy said, and sighed. “Tony’s being completely… I don’t know. He won’t talk to me, he just disappears for hours on end and when he comes back won’t tell me where he’s been. Dom’s been really helpful though, he’s always around when I need to talk,”
“At least you’ve got someone then, even if it isn’t Tony,” Becca said, pulling Mandy into a hug.
“How are you, anyway?” Mandy asked.
“I’m… I’m fine, yeah…” Becca said, attempting a smile.
“Everything going okay with the pregnancy?”
“I’m still getting morning sickness, but apart from that it’s alright. I’ve had my first scan,”
“Wow, can I see the picture?”
“Um… I… I don’t have it,”
“Why not?”
“Justin has it,”
“Justin went with you?” Mandy said incredulously. Becca sighed.
“A student knocked into me at school and I started bleeding, Justin took me to the hospital and I had the scan there, he took the picture with him,”
“And how are things with Justin?” Mandy asked quietly.
“They’re… uh… they’re okay, he still wants us to get back together, but… y’know…”
“Becca. Stop lying to me… I always know when you’re lying,” Mandy smiled. “What’s happened?”
Becca’s eyes widened. She couldn’t tell Mandy they were running away, Mandy would try and stop them and would probably be the voice of reason that Becca needed to make her stay. She sighed heavily. She couldn’t think of anything to say.
“Becca? What’s wrong?”
“I’ve got to go… take care, yeah? I’ll see you soon,”
Mandy frowned.
“You’ve only just got here! And what do you mean, take care?”
Becca ignored her and hugged her again.
“You’re leaving, aren’t you?” Mandy said, pulling away. Becca’s eyes filled with tears.
“Don’t, please,” she said, backing away from Mandy.
“Oh, Bex, don’t cry!” Mandy said. “If you think that’s the only option you’ve got left… but… promise me, promise that you’ll stay in touch with me?”
“I will! Thanks, Mandy… please don’t tell anyone, will you?”
“I won’t, promise,”
“I’ll let you know when we’ve found somewhere, you can come and visit then… I’m going to miss you!”
“Come here, give me a hug,” Mandy said. “I’ll ring you tomorrow night and see how you’re doing, and I’ll come and visit as soon as you want me to,”
“Thank you,” Becca smiled. “I’d better get going, I want to catch Louise, see her before I go,”
“Okay… I’ll talk to you tomorrow then,” Mandy said, hugging Becca fiercely. “Good luck,”
Becca smiled and left Mandy’s flat, her stomach churning as if there were snakes in it. Mandy knew. Could she be trusted? Would she let them leave? Becca didn’t know. She knew Mandy wouldn’t stop her from leaving out of spite, but she might try to stop them if she thought that Becca didn’t completely want to go. Which she didn’t. Part of her wanted to stay, to bury her head in the sand and pretend this wasn’t happening. If she could only forget about Justin, and fall back in love with her husband, everything would be alright. But that was never going to happen.

Chapter 4 || Chapter 5 || Chapter 6 || Chapter 7

Rhythm of my Heartbeat

Title: Rhythm of my Heartbeat
Author: JoRowlingRocks [Becca]
Rating: PG-13
Genre: Romance/angst
Disclaimer: I have no links to the band, these events have never happened.
Summary: Eero has split up from his wife, Aki is fed up with the single life and wants to settle down, and Lauri is behaving very strangely. Pauli is the only one who seems to be happy. What's happening to The Rasmus?

Chapter 1

----

Aki shivered. He was bored, cold and alone. He was lying in his bed, waiting for Pauli to come back. But it was 2:00am. Aki didn't think Pauli would be coming back. Lauri hadn't either. He got out of bed and went across the hallway to Eero and Lauri's bedroom. He opened the door. Eero was fast asleep. Aki sat down on the end of Eero's bed and looked at him. Eero had a very slight smile on his face, his cheeks were red and his hair was flopping down into his eyes. Aki brushed it away. Eero woke up suddenly.
"Jesus, Aki, you made me jump!" Eero said, sitting up. "Why are you in here?"
"Can I sleep in Lauri's bed? I don't want to be on my own in there,"
Eero smiled.
"Course you can. I don't think Lauri will be coming back... he phoned about half an hour ago to say he was with someone and not to wait up,"
Aki climbed into Lauri's bed and pulled the covers tightly around him. He was still cold. He started shivering again. Eero laughed from the other side of the room.
"What?" asked Aki.
"You're cold..." Eero said. "Come over here, I'll warm you up,"
Aki's heart lifted. Since they had kissed, Eero had behaved like nothing had happened. Maybe now something would happen?
Aki jumped out of Lauri's bed and crossed the room. Eero had sat up in his bed, and pulled the covers back.
"There's not much room in here," Eero said. "You'll have to snuggle up close,"
Aki smiled and climbed in beside Eero. The bed was warm where he had been lying on it. Eero pulled the covers back over them both and snaked his arms around Aki's waist.
Aki knew that Eero was only being like this because he was lonely and missing his wife. Aki didn't think Eero had any feelings for him, and Aki had never thought he had feelings for Eero... but it was the best feeling in the world, lying there with Eero's strong, warm body next to him, his lips grazing Aki's cheeks every few seconds. Aki closed his eyes and let Eero kiss his neck. Then he realised he was being selfish, so opened his eyes and kissed Eero back. There was nothing sexual in the kiss, which surprised Aki. He had never imagined being in bed with another man, kissing him and holding him, but not feeling the need to sleep with him. Then again, he'd never imagined being in bed with a man.
"This is nice," Eero whispered. "But why are we doing it?"
"I don't know," Aki answered. "But yeah, it is nice. I don't want it to end. I don't care whether we should be doing it... we might not get the chance again. Don't spoil it,"
"I won't," Eero said.
Aki hugged Eero tighter to him, and eventually, they both fell asleep.

Aki woke up early. Eero's arms were still around him.
"Finally, you're awake," Eero said, and let go of him. "I didn't want to let go in case I woke you up,"
"I don't want to get up... we've got to go to some awards thing tonight, haven't we? Are Lauri and Pauli back?" Aki said.
Eero laughed.
"Yes we have and no they haven't. Listen, I've been thinking..."
That didn’t' sound good, Aki thought. Was he having regrets?
"I was just thinking, are you sure about what we're doing? If anything goes wrong, it will destroy the band. I don't want to do that to Lauri and Pauli,"
"Well... no, I suppose I'm not sure. I haven't really thought about it. But I do know that I love the feeling that you give me, I don't ever want to stop feeling that, I've never felt like it before. It's like... I want to kiss you and everything, but I don't need to, you know... do it straight away. That's always how I've felt before,"
"But do you fancy me?" Eero asked.
Aki didn't answer for a second.
"Yes!" he exclaimed suddenly. "Yes, I do. I fancy you. I FANCY EERO! And I'm not ashamed,"
Eero smiled broadly.
"That's that settled, then. Did you eat last night?"
"Erm... no, I don't think so. Come to think about it, I'm starving!" Aki said, and leapt out of bed.
He ran down the hallway into the kitchen and opened the fridge.
"You can tell Lauri's done the shopping!" he shouted to Eero, who was still in the hallway. "All there is in the fridge is beer and some Kinder Bueno's!"
"Have a Bueno, then," Eero answered. Aki took the packet out of the fridge, and pulled out two Bueno bars.
Eero walked into the kitchen and Aki threw him a Bueno. He caught it and unwrapped it.
"We need to go shopping," Aki said, biting into his. He had a very specific way of eating a Bueno. He snapped one section off, turned it upside down, bit the bottom off and then scooped out the scooped out the hazelnut filling inside, before eating the rest.
"That's disgusting," Eero commented as Aki licked some filling off of his finger. "You don't know what germs are on those fingers,"
"Ah well," Aki said, and deliberately scooped a huge amount of filling onto his finger, and licked it off slowly. Eero whacked him playfully on the arm, sending it flying up into Aki's cheek. The filling that Aki hadn't licked off was smeared across his cheek.
"Urgh, Eero!" Aki said. "I've got hazelnut stuff on me! Get it off!"
Eero giggled childishly. He bent down so that his eyes were level with Aki's. Then he pressed his lips to Aki's cheek and licked off the filling. Aki's breath caught in his throat.
He quickly bit off another bit of Bueno, and scooped the filling onto his middle finger again.
"Want some more?" he asked cheekily, holding his finger out. Eero's hand clasped around Aki's wrist, and he lowered his mouth onto Aki's finger, and sucked the filling off. He straightened back up.
"That tastes nice," he said simply.
"Can I try?" Aki said hopefully, and without waiting for Eero to say yes, blobbed some filling onto Eero's top lip. He kissed it off.
Within seconds the Buenos were lying abandoned on the floor, and Aki and Eero were lying on the kitchen table.
***
"Why are we down here?" Aki asked.
"Erm... because we can't be arsed to get up?" Eero suggested.
"True..."
Aki looked up at the ceiling. They were still in the kitchen, but had fallen off of the table onto the floor. And stayed there.
"What if Pauli comes back?" Aki asked. "We've... erm...not got many clothes on,"
Eero mused for a second. It was certainly true; Aki had on his trousers, and Eero his shorts.
"We'll tell him we got hot," Eero said.
"Yeah, I'm sure he'll believe that. It's winter in Helsinki, Eero,"
"Ah well. We got our tops dirty? We'll think of something,"
"Okay. Kiss me," Aki said.
Eero obliged without complaint.
"Mmm, you taste nice," Aki said.
"Thanks. You feel nice," Eero said, stroking Aki's chest.
Aki's chest, like Lauri and Eero's was waxed. It was very painful, but they liked to have it done... Aki hated chest hair. Pauli's girlfriend like his hairy chest, though, so she wouldn't let him have it done.
Aki ran his hands over Eero's chest. It felt strange, he'd never touched another man's chest before. He wasn't used to it being so hard and muscly.
"I've always wanted to do that," Eero said.
"Do what?" Aki asked, confused. He wasn't doing anything.
"This!" Eero said, and put both of his hands on Aki's chest, slowly running them down to his stomach.
"Well, then... you've accomplished another thing on your 'to do before I die' list," Aki said.
"I don't have one!" Eero said.
"You would have done if you did,"
"I'm confused now so I think I'm going to make you stop talking," Eero said, and slid his hands further down Aki's body. Aki's eyes widened.
"Keep going," Aki said mischievously as Eero's hands reached the top of Aki's trousers.
"Really?" Eero asked. Aki nodded.
"Do you want to... you know... go all the way?" Eero's voice dropped to a whisper.
"Yeah, I do, but... this is going to sound stupid, but... I don't know how,"
Eero giggled.
"Don't worry. I'll show you... come on, let's go to the bedroom. I can ring Pauli and tell him I've got a girl here, if you want. He won't come back,"
"Okay," Aki smiled, and took hold of Eero's hand.

TBC

Run Away, Run Away

Title: Run Away, Run Away
Author: JoRowlingRocks [Becca]
Rating: R
Genre: Romance, angst
Disclaimer: These characters belong to Channel 4, not me!
Summary: Chapter 2 of my Becca/Justin fic, set before Jake finds out about the affair... Becca contemplates running away with Justin.

Chapter 1

----

A few minutes later, Becca and Justin were in the centre of Hollyoaks, passing the Drive ‘N’ Buy and climbing the steps to where Justin lived with his sisters and Mum.
“Is anyone home?” Becca asked, looking around warily, worried that Jake might come home for his lunch and see her.
“No, Mum and Sophie are at work, Mel’s at uni,” he said, taking out his key and unlocking the front door. Becca stepped into the house after him, standing awkwardly next to the sofa. She wanted so badly to push Justin onto it and kiss him until she couldn’t remember why she was so confused, but she knew she couldn’t. It was meant to be finished with him, just a fling, not a serious relationship… Jake was her serious relationship- her marriage! She tried to remember why she married him, but she couldn’t. She could only think that she shouldn’t be with Jake anymore, Justin was the one who made her dizzy when she looked at him, made her see stars just by touching her.
She snapped out of her thoughts as Justin’s face swam into her vision.
“You okay Bex?” he asked, peering deep into her eyes. She looked back, tears threatening to spill down her cheeks once more.
“How could I choose Jake over you?” she whispered, stroking his face. “I love you,”
Justin smiled and as he did, tears leaked out of his eyes.
“Thank you,” he said, hugging her tightly to him. “Oh God, I needed to hear that, thank you,”
“Come here,” Becca whispered, holding Justin’s face steady. She kissed him tenderly; she wanted to make him feel better. She had to repair some of the hurt while she could.
“Let me,” Justin whispered huskily. “Please say we can,”
Becca nodded hungrily, pushing her young lover’s blazer off his shoulders and loosening his tie. She had to admit, no matter how many times she told herself her attraction to Justin was nothing to do with school, that she wasn’t some sort of pervert, his uniform did turn her on.
“Let’s go to your room, in case someone comes back,” she whispered as she started undoing the buttons of his shirt.
“No, let’s stay here, I want to remember that we did it here,” Justin said, and all of a sudden a very immature smile crossed his face. Becca smiled at him, remembering when she was so young and naïve, when to be cool you had to have had sex in at least four rooms of the house, and the garden too.
“Are you sure no-one will come in?”
“I’m sure… I promise… Mum’s got this important thing going on at work so she’ll probably stay late, Sophie doesn’t finish work till 5 o’clock and Mel goes to those meeting things straight from uni, she doesn’t get back until the evening usually. We’re alone,”
“Okay,” Becca said, glancing nervously at the large window next to the front door. Justin saw the look and shut the curtains quickly.
“It’s alright, Becca,” Justin said quietly, undoing the buttons of her blouse. “I’ll be here for you, no matter what happens… no matter what you do to me…”
“Don’t say that!” Becca said, and started crying again. “I’m sorry for everything,”
“I don’t care,” Justin said, holding her and wiping away her tears. “I’ve told you, I love you and I’ll stand whatever you throw at me,”
Becca buried her face in Justin’s chest, clinging on to him tightly.
“I never meant to hurt anyone,” she whispered.
“I know you didn’t,” Justin said comfortingly, stroking her hair. He led her over to the sofa and sat her down on it, before sitting down next to her and kissing her tenderly. He finished undoing the buttons on her blouse and pushed it off her, then moved down to her neck and began kissing it softly. Becca stroked his short hair and nuzzled her face against his, comforting herself as much as doing anything else.
“I love you,” she said, pulling his tie off and discarding it on the floor. She undid the rest of his shirt buttons and he struggled to get it and his blazer off as fast as he could. Becca ran a hand down his smooth, hairless chest, closing her eyes and enjoying the feel. Justin got up and straddled her, pressing his chest against Becca’s, sliding his hands up her legs. Becca reached behind herself and quickly unhooked her bra, shrugging it off in one swift motion while Justin admired her body.
“I love you too, more than anything,” he said, hugging her tightly to him.
Justin undid his belt with one hand while the other held Becca’s face as he kissed her.
“Hurry up,” Becca whispered, hitching up her skirt and kissing Justin feverishly. Justin pulled down his jeans so that they were round his knees and clambered further onto Becca’s body, and it was then that she finally realised that she could never given Justin Burton up.

Chapter 3 || Chapter 4 || Chapter 5 || Chapter 6 || Chapter 7

Title: Forever
Author: JoRowlingRocks [Becca]
Rating: NC17 overall, this chapter PG-13
Genre: Fluff
Disclaimer: I don't own The Rasmus, this has never happened, yada yada.
Summary: Chapter 2 of this fic; Lauri & Aki are 14 and best friends but live far away from each other.

Chapter 1

----

“Aki? Aki, are you home?” a voice called out through the house. Aki sat up, startled.
“Yeah, I’m in my room!” he called, his voice cracking.
“Tea will be ready soon. Have you done all your homework?”
“I didn’t get any!” Aki shouted and came out of his bedroom. He quickly looked in the bathroom mirror to check it didn’t look like he’d been crying, and went downstairs.
“What’s wrong?” Aki’s mum asked him as soon as he went into the kitchen.
“Why, do I look like there’s something wrong?” he said quickly, his hand moving to his eyes.
“You’re my son, I know when something’s wrong,”
“Lauri’s Mum said he can’t come and stay,” Aki said with a huge sigh.
“I’m sure she has her reasons. I’ll talk to her later, and find out why he can’t come,”
Aki smiled half-heartedly in thanks and sat down at the table.
For half an hour he sat picking at his food, not eating much, until his Mum had had enough.
“For heaven’s sake, Aki! You’re excused! Go and… do… whatever it is you do, upstairs, you’re putting me in a sad mood!”
Aki left the table without a word and passed the front door as his Dad came in.
“Hei, Aki,” his Dad said as he took his coat off. Aki mumbled something nonsensical and carried on upstairs. He vaguely heard his Dad asking what was wrong with him before he got into his bedroom and turned on his CD player.
‘Burnout’ by Green Day blasted through Aki’s bedroom. No-one in Finland had heard of Green Day, but Aki had discovered their album by accident when his Dad took him on a trip to America in the summer.

I've lived in this mental cave
Throw emotions in the grave
Hell, who needs them anyway.

Aki sang along and tapped along to the drum beat. He pulled his drumsticks out of his school bag and air drummed on the edge of his bed. Somehow pummelling the quilt with two bits of wood made him feel better.
For several hours Aki sat playing drums to his different CDs, until he realised that it was ten o’clock. He jumped up and turned his CD player off, and got into bed.
Once more he lay in bed staring at the ceiling. Lauri’s face clouded his vision. Aki lay thinking for a while, more memories of Lauri… the last time Aki had seen him, when Lauri came running towards him with a huge grin on his face, waving madly… the time when Lauri had fallen out with his friend Antti and was upset for the whole visit… the time that Lauri had proudly announced that he was forming a band… And it looked like the band was taking off, Aki thought. Lauri had said he wanted Aki to be drummer, but there was the slight problem of them not living in the same region.
Aki fell asleep thinking of the time that Lauri had sung to him down the phone. He had an amazing voice. If they were discovered, the band had the chance to be very successful, with Lauri as singer. Aki thought about what Lauri would be doing ten years from now… probably performing to crowds of thousands, completely forgetting about Aki.
Lauri sung passionately into the microphone, holding it so close to his mouth that he looked as though he were trying to eat it. His blonde hair was spiked up and he was wearing a white tank top, covered in sweat, and baggy black trousers. Screams filled the cavernous arena that was packed with people of all ages. Lauri looked around the room, beaming. He scanned over the crowd and his eyes rested on the person that he was searching for.
Aki waved frantically at Lauri, who waved back and gave him a thumbs-up. The song ended to rapturous applause.
“Thank you so much!” Lauri said to the crowd, who were now throwing various objects onstage. A banner was unfurled reading ‘LAURI- TAKE YOUR SHIRT OFF!’
“Take my shirt off?” He laughed. “Okay!”
Lauri put the microphone back in its holder and walked backwards a couple of steps. He turned to look at his band mates, who, to Aki, were only shadows.
Lauri grabbed the bottom of his top with one hand and lifted it up slightly. A huge scream rose from the crowd- mainly the female portion. Lauri giggled to himself- unnoticed by everyone except Aki- and let the shirt go. It fell back down and covered his well-toned stomach. A chant started, and grew louder and louder.
“Take it off! Take it off! Take it off!” the crowd urged. So Lauri obliged, pulling the top over his head and throwing it into the crowd. A struggle ensued for it and a beaming twenty-something woman emerged from the brawl seconds later, clutching Lauri’s top.
Second later another banner emerged, this time reading ‘NOW THE TROUSERS!’
Aki didn’t think Lauri would go that far, but to his amazement Lauri kicked off his trainers, unzipped his fly and pulled off his trousers. The crowd were in shock for a second, then erupted in the loudest cheer that Aki had ever heard. Aki stared, gob smacked, at Lauri, who was standing laughing his head off, only wearing his boxers.
“Don’t tell me! You have a sign asking me to take these off?” Lauri asked, twanging the elastic on his boxers. The group of girls who had been holding the banners shook their heads slowly.
“But you want me to, anyway, don’t you?”
They nodded frantically, and Lauri grinned mischievously. He turned around and put his hands on his hips. Then, as slowly, as he could, he pushed his boxers down. Within seconds they were around his ankles. He turned his head round to survey the wild crowd, who were practically foaming at the mouth, and stuck his tongue out at them. Aki marvelled at Lauri’s sense of daring as he stood there with no signs of embarrassment. Lauri caught Aki’s eye again, and mouthed something to him. Aki nodded and smiled. On Aki’s decision, Lauri turned around to face the crowd.

Aki woke up panting and sweating profusely. He couldn't believe he'd just had that dream. He tried to shake the image of a five-years-on Lauri naked out of his head but it wouldn't budge. The more he tried not to think of it, the more he did. He got out of bed to go to the bathroom, and felt a wet patch on his pyjama bottoms. Tears of embarrassment sprang to his eyes as he quickly riffled through his drawers to get a clean pair of pyjamas.
He went into the bathroom, cleaned himself up and splashed water on his face to cool him down. He crawled back into his bed, which thankfully wasn’t wet, and shut his eyes. The image stood out clearly in his mind. Aki hit himself on the head.
“Stop it!” he said to himself. “Lauri’s my friend! I don’t fancy him!”
But even as he said it to the empty room, he began to think different. Tears leaked out of his eyes as Lauri’s face swum into his mind, laughing, smiling, pouting. Aki clenched the bed sheets and tried to think of something else, but it wouldn’t work. He turned and looked at his clock. It read 2:08. Too late to ring Lauri. He’d be asleep.
To take his mind off the fact that he might fancy his best friend, Aki decided to plan a way that he could see Lauri soon. Maybe he could go and stay with Lauri? But Lauri’s mum might not want him to. He’d have to wait until his mum and Lauri’s mum had spoken on the phone.
Aki wondered what his parents had bought him for his birthday. He entertained himself thinking of all the extravagant things that his parents would never buy him. A monkey, a drum kit, a car… Slowly Aki drifted back off to sleep, a monkey driving a car around his mind.

Chapter 3

Run Away, Run Away

Title: Run Away, Run Away
Author: JoRowlingRocks [Becca]
Rating: R overall, this chapter PG-13
Genre: Romance, angst
Disclaimer: I do not own these characters, they were made by Channel 4!
Summary: Set just before Jake finds out about Becca's affair with Justin, Becca is tempted to do what she couldn't do before and run away with Justin.

----
Becca stared at the piece of paper in front of her. It was a student’s essay, she knew that, but she couldn’t comprehend what they were trying to say at all. She stared at the same word, trying to force it into her brain, trying to make herself understand. The ticking of the clock rung in her ears. Surely it must be time for the end of lesson? She couldn’t bear this much longer. She didn’t dare look up, didn’t dare in case Nicole Owen was looking back, even though they were in exam conditions this lesson. She wondered how many other people in the class knew that she was having secret sex with that weird, quiet boy who sat near the back of the class. It took Becca all of her self-control not to look up, just so that she could see his face for a few seconds and make some of the hurt go away.
Finally, after what seemed like far too long to be one hour-long lesson, the bell rang, signalling that it was time for dinner. Becca breathed a sigh of relief as she heard the scraping of twenty chairs against the floor and she pushed the nonsensical essay away from her, daring to look up at last.
Justin was still in the classroom. Becca flicked her eyes towards the door, to check that it was shut and that no-one was loitering outside.
“What is it?” she asked warily, knowing what was to come.
“Becca, I need to talk to you,” he said heavily, sitting on the edge of a desk opposite her. “You can’t just… just… tell me you love me, and want to run away with me, and then leave me! My head is messed up enough as it is! Please, Becca… I need you…”
Becca screwed up her eyes and put her head in her hands. She knew full well that Justin was in love with her, she was just as in love with him, but what else could she do? Tears leaked out of her eyes, as they often did these days.
“I don’t know what to do!” she sobbed as Justin rushed forward. He stood her up and held her gently in his arms.
“Justin… I don’t know what to do… if I carry on being with you Jake will get hurt, but if I don’t, you’ll get hurt!”
“So… you’d rather I get hurt than Jake?” Justin asked moodily.
“No!” Becca exclaimed, crying harder. “You’ve got the rest of your life ahead of you, you can get your A Levels and go to university, meet someone else, have a proper relationship! I’m already married! If I left Jake, I’d have no home, no money, no job... no husband…”
“But you’d be with me! Becca, please, listen to me! I really need you… I need to know you love me,”
“Oh you know I love you,” Becca said, wiping away the tears that were streaming down her reddened cheeks.
“Not anymore… not when you’d just drop me like that for someone you apparently don’t love…”
“Stop it!” she squeaked, pulling away and putting her hands over her ears. “I don’t know what to do, stop saying that to me!”
“I’m sorry…” he said. “It just hurts so much… I’ve never been in love before; you can’t blame me for trying to hang on to you,”
“I know,” she sniffed. “I don’t blame you. I blame myself, all this mess is my fault and I know it is,”
“Let’s just run away together,” Justin sighed.
“But what about Mandy? And Nancy? I can’t just leave them!”
“Well how about… I drop out of school, today, you go and see Mandy tonight, but don’t say we’re going, then we go tomorrow, ring Mandy when we get… wherever we’re going… and tell her to come and stay for a while,”
“But that’s the thing, where would we stay? If we stayed in a hotel, it’d be so expensive! My money would run out so fast, and you don’t have any!”
“I do… I have a savings account that my Mum made for me, I have the card for it. That has a couple of thousand in it. And then there’s some of the money that I earned working with Jake before I went back to school… that would help!”
“And what about my job? I can’t just leave without telling anyone, I’d never get another job again if I did that!”
“You will! Just say… say the stress of your best friend losing her baby and your marriage troubles made you want to start again somewhere new and that’s why you left, they’d understand!”
“I can’t use that as an excuse, that’s terrible! Besides, if we both suddenly disappeared, it’d be a bit suspicious, the police would be after us right away! Nicole knows, she’d tell everyone as soon as she found out that we’d gone, we’d never do it,”
“We would! We can do it Becca, just believe in us,” Justin implored. Becca closed her eyes again and sighed heavily. She tried to calm herself down, her hands were starting to shake and her breathing was irrational. As she pictured beaches and fields and other calming things in her head, she felt a pair of lips be pressed to her own. Her eyes flew open at once.
“Justin, not here,” she said tiredly, pushing him off. Anyone could walk past the classroom and see them through the small window.
Wordlessly Justin took her hand and pulled her over to the classroom door. He peered out, checked that no-one was around, and led her down the corridor to the stairs. Becca tried to pull her hand out of his grip in case anyone saw, but he was holding too tight. They jogged down the stairs to the main entrance of the school, and outside a few people were stood around eating and talking. Justin quickly let go of Becca’s hand but she followed him anyway, down the path leading to the school gate.
“Where are we going?” she said out of the corner of her mouth, trying not to let anyone notice that she was talking to him.
“You’ll see,” he said, striding faster in front of her. They passed through the school gates and went around a corner, so that they were no longer visible to the students in the school field.

Chapter 2 || Chapter 3 || Chapter 4 || Chapter 5 || Chapter 6
Rhythm of my Heartbeat

Title: Rhythm of my Heartbeat
Author: JoRowlingRocks [Becca]
Rating: PG-13
Genre: Romance/angst
Disclaimer: I don't own The Rasmus, this story is purely fictional and I have no links to the band!
Summary: Eero has split up from his wife, Aki is fed up with the single life and wants to settle down, and Lauri is behaving very strangely. Pauli is the only one who seems to be happy. What's happening to The Rasmus?

----

Aki's head drooped onto Eero's shoulder. Why, why, did the stupid manager agree to an interview at eight o'clock in the morning on a Sunday? He knew full well that they all went out partying on a Saturday night. Aki yawned brokenly and closed his eyes as the interviewer asked about Lauri's feathers. Always the same questions, always the same answers. Aki was the least talkative in interviews, no-one would notice if he closed his eyes, just for a couple of minutes... Eero's soft arm closed on Aki's shoulder... just a few minutes, Aki thought... no-one would know...
***
Aki jerked awake. Two eyes were staring at him from under a beanie hat. Pauli was sitting on a chair at the end of the bed. The bed? Why was Aki in bed? Pauli seemed to read his mind.
"Eero carried you back to the car... he didn't want to wake you. Said you looked peaceful," Pauli said. "Him and Lauri have both gone to sleep now, but we need to get up. We're on the television in two hours and we're not even there yet. You go and get Eero, I'll do Lauri,"
Aki grumbled and slowly got out of bed. Him and Pauli traipsed through to the other bedroom where Eero and Lauri were sprawled, fully-clothed, on their beds. Aki crept over to Eero.
"Eero," he said softly, tapping Eero's cheek. "Eero! Wake up!"
No response. Aki pressed his hand down on Eero's chest and shook him.
"WAKE UP!" shouted Pauli from across the other side of the room. This woke up both Lauri and Eero.
"Go away..." Lauri mumbled.
"Lintu, get up, we need to go," Pauli said. Lauri didn't move.
Eero, however, was already out of bed and had gone rushing into the bathroom to arrange his hair.
Aki went out of the bedroom and knocked on the bathroom door.
"Can I come in?" he asked, and opened the door without waiting for an answer. Eero was standing in front of the mirror, combing his hair. Aki stood next to him and squeezed some gel into the palms of his hands. He styled his hair and then went back into the bedroom where Lauri was very slowly getting out of bed.
"For heaven's sake," Pauli muttered, grabbed Lauri's arm and yanked him upright.
"Yeah, I'm up!" he said in protest, and stumbled off to the bathroom. Eero came back in a few minutes later, fixing his pendant around his neck, followed by Lauri who had managed to do his make-up in record time.
"Come on then, let's go!" said Lauri who was for some reason in a cheerful mood now.
***
Lauri laughed.
"Aki," he said, tapping Aki madly on the arm. "Aki! Those girls are eyeing you up,"
"Great," Aki said miserably. He was bored. They'd spent ages rehearsing for the TV show, which wasn't live as they had been told. Now they were in a bar, as usual minus Eero. Lauri was drunk. Aki was too, he supposed. No-one could ever tell whether Pauli was drunk or not. He was on the phone to his girlfriend at the minute.
"Aki! Go and talk to those girls. They want to give you a kiss," Lauri said, and pouted at Aki. Aki frowned and turned away.
"Oi! What's up with you? Don't you want to have a smoochie with the girls?" Lauri said. "I'll have them if you don't want them,"
"I think I'm going to go home," Aki said. "I don't feel too well,"
"Oh..." Lauri said dejectedly. "Okay, see you in the morning,"
Aki waved bye to Pauli and took a taxi back to the large flat that he shared with Eero, Pauli and Lauri. There had only been three of them, but Eero had recently split up with his wife and moved back in with them. Pauli would probably move out soon, Aki thought. Him and his girlfriend had been together for a long time. Aki wished he had a girlfriend, but he couldn't go steady with anyone. He'd tried, but he couldn't take being away from someone for so long.
He was in a thoroughly bad mood when he let himself noiselessly into the flat. He went into the living room and flopped into a chair with his eyes closed. He sat in silence for a few minutes. Then he heard a noise from Eero and Lauri's bedroom. He tiptoed in. Eero was sitting on the end of his bed, head in hands, crying.
"Eero, what's wrong?" Aki asked at once, rushing over to sit with Eero. Eero sighed and a tear that had been resting on his top lip was blown into the air.
Aki grabbed Eero's hands, pulled them away from his face and held onto them as he looked at Eero's tear-stained face.
"Sorry," Eero said quietly. "I didn't know you were here,"
"Never mind sorry, what's wrong with you?" Aki asked gently.
Fresh tears spilled down Eero's cheeks. He took a steadying breath and looked at the floor.
"I feel so alone," he whispered. "I miss her so much. I just want her back in my arms,"
Aki's stomach gave a horrible jolt. Eero had been coping so well with the split, had he been crying, alone, all of these nights?
Aki stood up and pulled Eero up with him. He wrapped his arms around Eero.
"I know how you feel. Well, not exactly, but sort of. I want to settle down. I don't want to be single any more. I want to wake up with someone's arms around me. I want to walk down the street hand in hand with them, and say 'yes, we're together'. I don't want to meet a girl and then have to leave her the next morning. I can't do it," Aki said, surprised to find that he was now crying too.
"I never knew," Eero said. "I always thought you liked the single life,"
"Not anymore,"
"Well, you've always got me. I'll always be with you," Eero said, putting his hand on Aki's face and wiping away the tears with his thumb, but they kept coming.
"And you're not alone. You've got me. It's not much, but it's someone," Aki said, and brushed Eero's tears away with the backs of his fingers, but they kept coming, too.
Aki realised he still had his hand on Eero's face. He took it away but Eero grabbed it and held it back against his face. They stared at each other for a second, one each of their hands still around the other's waist.
Then, so naturally that Aki didn't realise what was happening for a start, it happened. The small gap between their heads closed. Their lips touched. Aki didn't think about what he was doing, only that this was the first loving kiss he had received in a long time. They were both still crying, Aki could taste salty tears on Eero's lips. Aki cried harder as Eero put his other arm back around Aki and pulled him closer, so that their bodies were touching. It was a jumble of tears and kisses as they exorcised the loneliness that had been building up in both of them.
Slowly, slowly, Aki opened his mouth. After a second, Eero did the same. Eero let out a little sound of pleasure as their tongues met.
Aki opened one of his eyes. Eero was frowning slightly, his eyes closed, his damp cheek glistening in the light from the hallway. Aki closed his eye again and nuzzled at Eero's nose with his as the kiss deepened.
Then, just as naturally as it had started, the kiss ended. They broke away, lightly kissed again and then stood back to look at each other. Neither was crying now.
As Aki's stared at Eero's chocolate eyes, he realised that he didn't feel awkward, as he had expected to. He felt contented. And judging by the gentle, unforced smile on Eero's face, he felt the same way.
But now Aki felt as though he had been drowning, and given an oxygen mask, only for it to be taken away. Aki wanted to feel Eero's lips on his again. Eero seemed to read his mind. He cupped Aki's face in his hands and kissed him tenderly.

Chapter 2

Forever

Title: Forever
Author: JoRowlingRocks [Becca]
Rating: NC17 overall, this chapter PG-13
Genre: Romance
Disclaimer: This story is fictional, has never happened, and I have no links to the band.
Summary: Lauri and Aki are 14 years old and best friends but live far away from each other. Aki comes to Lauri's house for half-term and the guys have a week they'll never forget...

----

A lone figure walked down the road. The hood of his long brown coat was pulled up over his head and his blue jeans were clinging to his damp legs. He had a blue rucksack on, from out of which stuck two drumsticks. As he walked the rain lashing down bounced off of his petite form.
He walked down a short driveway and stopped at the back door of the house. He pushed down his hood and opened the door, stepping inside the house.
“Mum? Dad? Anyone home?” the boy shouted, taking off his thick-framed glasses and wiping them to get rid of the rain. He took off his bag and coat, hanging them up on a coat peg next to the door. He went further into the house and noticed that there was a phone message on the answering machine. He pressed the ‘play’ button.
“You have one new message. Received: Twenty fourth October at three fifty-four pm. Message one: ‘Hei Aki! It’s me… I’ve got some good news and some bad news. Good news is my friend Eero has agreed to play bass for my band! So now we have four members, we’re up and running! The bad news is, I’m really sorry, my mum said no. So I can’t come and stay at yours. Believe me, if there was any way around it I’d have tried already, I want to see you. She won’t even give me a reason. Anyway, I’ll talk to you later. Bye!’ End of message.”
Aki growled in frustration. He’d been hoping against hope that Lauri would be able to come and stay at the weekend, they hadn’t seen each other in months. He trudged sadly upstairs to his bedroom and slammed the door shut as hard as he could. He kicked a folder that was lying on his floor, and then sank down onto his bed, sighing.
For a few seconds he lay on his bed, staring at his ceiling blankly. Then he jumped up and grabbed the phone from his bedside table. He punched in Lauri’s number, which he easily remembered, and held the phone to his ear.
“Hello?” said a voice at the other end.
“Lauri! It’s me, I just got your message,” Aki said sadly.
“Oh, hei Aki! I’m really sorry about my mum, but there’s not much I can do,”
“It’s alright, I didn’t really think she’d say yes… I just created false hope for myself, that’s all. But it really stinks that you can’t come, I was looking forward to seeing you again,”
“Yeah, I want to see you too. I’ll have to mail your birthday present to you. I hope you like it!”
“I bet I will,” Aki said, grinning. “So, have your band played anything yet?”
“We’ve had a jamming session, played a couple of songs that Pauli has sheet music for, that’s all. Even if I say so myself, we sound quite good!”
“Well, you’re in the band, of course you’ll be good!” Aki said, blushing slightly at what he’d just said. He heard Lauri give an embarrassed laugh.
“Thanks. Can I ask you something? Do you ever think our relationship… is a bit… girly?” Lauri asked awkwardly.
“Erm… how do you mean?” Aki asked, frowning to himself.
“Well… we’re really close to each other, we spend hours on the phone to each other, stuff like that. That’s normally what girls do,”
“True… but I’m not ashamed of our friendship. We’re best mates! I think it’s just because boys tend to clam up and not admit their feelings, but you know that you’re my best friend and I’d do anything for you, so I have nothing to be afraid of…” Aki mused.
“You’re full of wisdom, you, you should become a whatsit… guru,” Lauri laughed. Aki snorted.
“Yeah, I can so see that happening! Not! I have to go, I don’t think I’m meant to be phoning you, I didn’t ask my parents,”
“Oh, okay,” Lauri said, and he sounded sad. “I’ll talk to you tomorrow, I hope. Bye!”
“Bye mate!” Aki said, and put the phone down. He lied back down on his bed, still feeling sad. It had been great to talk to Lauri but he wanted to actually see him. To take him down to the local skate park and do some tricks with him. To go to the cinema with him, watch a scary film and pretend for hours afterwards that he wasn’t scared, only to start screaming in the middle of the night because of some stupid prank that Lauri had played. Aki smiled as he remembered when that had happened, Lauri had laughed for ages afterwards. He fondly recalled other memories that he had of Lauri, although there were few, because they hardly got to see each other. They’d first gotten to know each other through their mums who had been friends when they were children, and become better and better friends, just through talking on the phone. They visited each other every few months, but this had been the longest Aki had gone without seeing Lauri since they first made friends.
Before Aki knew it he had curled over onto his side, taken off his glasses and was crying silently into his pillow.
“I miss you, Lauri! I miss you so fucking much…” he whispered to no-one, and closed his eyes.

Chapter 2

Snow Angels

Title: Snow Angels
Author: JoRowlingRocks [Becca]
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Lauki
Disclaimer: This story is pure fiction, none of these events have happened and I have no links to the band.
Summary: It’s Boxing Day and post-Christmas blues have set in, so Lauri and Aki find a way to cheer themselves up!

----

I woke up early, it was still dark when I drew back the curtains. Then again, it didn’t get light until late morning, so that didn’t really count for anything. I went downstairs in my new pyjamas to find Aki already at the table, picking at leftovers from yesterday’s Christmas dinner.
“Are you eating that for breakfast?” I asked, wrinkling my nose.
“Yeah, why?” he replied, slightly sulkily.
“We don’t have to save them, we can just throw them away and you can have normal breakfast!”
“Nah, it’s a waste,” Aki said, sipping his coffee.
“Suit yourself,” I said, popping some bread into the toaster and going into the living room. I saw that Aki had already turned the fairy lights on on the Christmas tree. There were still presents all over the floor, along with little pieces of wrapping paper that hadn’t made it into the bin. Aki’s new drum set still had the gold bow on it, he must not have played them yet. I looked out of the window to see snowflakes falling thickly, settling on top of the four inches of snow that were already out there.
“It’s snowing again!” I called to Aki.
“Lauri, it snows all the time, it’s not a big deal,” he shouted back.
“It is! Snow’s pretty,” I said, going back into the kitchen and opening the back door. I stuck my hand out and caught some snowflakes, brought my hand back in and dropped them on Aki’s head, where they promptly melted and a trickle of water ran down his forehead.
“Thank you,” he said sarcastically.
“What’s up with you this morning?” I asked, sitting down next to him. He shrugged.
“Christmas is over for another year,” he said, staring at the bottom of his coffee cup. “Now all there’s left to do is clear up the mess, put the presents away and take down all the decorations. Then it’s back to normal again,”
“Yeah, I know,” I said sadly. “Christmas is great but then it feels doubly boring afterwards,” Aki nodded in agreement.
“How come you don’t like the snow?” I asked him.
“I didn’t say I don’t like it, I just don’t get excited about it. It’s not like in other countries, where it only snows every couple of years, so when it snows it’s something shout about. Here it snows all the time!”
“So? Doesn’t mean you can’t get excited about it! When was the last time you built a snowman?”
“Er… I don’t know… when I was about eight?”
“Eight?! Are you mad? Right, get your coat on, we’re going outside,”
“Why? It’s freezing!”
“Put a scarf on too then! I’m going to show you how much fun the snow can be!”
I raced out of the kitchen and into the cloakroom, to get my waterproof coat and woolly hat. Aki followed half-heartedly behind me, draping his scarf around his neck and zipping his coat up while giving me a quite scathing look.
“Trust me, you’ll enjoy it,” I said, grabbing his hand and pulling him back into the kitchen, out of the back door and into the garden. The moon was still visible, high in the sky. My breath rose in clouds in front of me, as though I were smoking, and snowflakes dropped all around me, occasionally landing on my nose or arms.
“Okay, then first thing we’re going to do is make a snowman!” I said with a flourish, looking around.
“Yay,” Aki said, blinking rapidly. “The snow makes my glasses go blurry,”
I reached forward and took his glasses off, polished them on my glove (which was covered in snow anyway) and put them back on. As I put them on my hand brushed against his cheek, and he smiled.
“Thanks for that,” he said, looking at me through lenses that were now even blurrier.
“Come on then!” I giggled, tramping across the garden to where the snow was thickest. I scooped up some snow and shaped it into a ball, threw it back on the floor and rolled it around in the snow.
“What are you doing?” Aki asked, watching from behind me.
“Making the head! Did no-one teach you how to make one?” I asked, rolling the ball around, making it bigger and bigger.
“Nope…” he said, continuing to stand and watch me.
“You can start making the body if you want!” I said happily as the ball grew to the size of a melon.
“Is there a specific way of doing that?” he asked, shuffling around.
“Nope, just pile up the snow and pack in tight so it doesn’t collapse,” I replied, picking up the ball to inspect it. “How big shall we make the snowman?”
“I don’t know,” he said carelessly.
“Hmm… a bit bigger than this,” I said to myself, carefully putting the ball back down and rolling around in the fresh snow. When it had grown bigger than a football, I picked it back up again and put it aside so I wouldn’t tread on it.
“How are you getting on?” I asked, turning to Aki. He was standing next to a very small bump protruding out of the snow.
“I can’t do it!” he said, clearly annoyed. “It just keeps falling off every time I put more on!”
I smiled and went over to him.
“Show me how you were doing it?” I asked. He gathered up some snow, put it on the bump, before fetching more snow and dumping it on top, causing the snow underneath to fall away.
“See! It won’t stay there! I can’t do anything!” Aki growled, kicking the snow.
“Hey, don’t get frustrated, this is meant to be fun!” I said gently, putting my hands on Aki’s shoulders. “Here, I’ll show you how to do it,”
I knelt down by the bump and gathered up the snow that Aki had loosely put on top. I patted it hard into the snow, while gathering more and patting that in too.
“See, you just have to pack it in tightly, or it’ll just fall away again. When you’ve got it as wide as you want it, then start making it taller, but make sure you don’t just pile snow into the middle and make it as tall as you can, because that’ll make a cone shape and we won’t be able to get the head on,”
Aki nodded and bent down, trying to copy what I had done, but he hit the snow too hard and made a hand-shaped dent in the snow. I giggled.
“Not that hard,” I said, manoeuvring behind Aki and grasping his hands in mine. “Like this,”
I helped Aki to pat the snow in, and I could see that he was pleased that he was finally making the right shape.
“Your hands are cold,” I said as I moved away, leaving him to do the body on his own.
“Warm them up for me?” he asked, turning to me and smiling. He stood up and held his hands out to me, so I took them and wrapped my hands around them, blowing hard onto them. I looked up at Aki’s face to see him watching me intently. With a slight pang of embarrassment, I let go of his hands.
“I’ll just go and get a carrot for his nose and a spare scarf!” I said, and went back into the house, trudging snow all over the place.
That was weird, I thought to myself. Aki had looked at me strangely when I was warming his hands, but I couldn’t quite place the emotion in his eyes. Whatever it was had made me feel funny. I rummaged in the fridge for a carrot that I could use on the snowman, and then went into the cloakroom and took a scarf off one of the pegs. I went back outside to Aki who was making good progress on the body.
“Look, Lauri, it actually looks like a snowman’s body!” Aki said excitedly as I approached him. I grinned widely.
“Well done,” I said, dropping the carrot and scarf by his side. I helped make the body bigger until it was a reasonable size, so I went to fetch the head to try and attach it.
“This is the tricky bit,” I said, placing the head on top of the body. “We’ve got to attach it to the body by sticking snow all round the bottom of the head, but we’ve got to be careful not to break it,”
We managed to attach the head without a single piece of snow falling off. We carefully stuck the carrot in his face, poked holes in for eyes, and draped the scarf round his neck.
“Lauri we did it!!” Aki squealed, stepping backwards to admire the snowman. He looked at me with sparkling blue eyes, full of pride at making his first good snowman. “Let’s take a picture of it,”
Aki ran off to get his camera and came back a few minutes later, camera in hand.
“I’ve just thought, we need a name for it!” he said as he switched the camera on.
“What do you want to call it?”
“Let’s call it Lauri!” he said, laughing.
“Nah, let’s call it Aki!”
“How about… Laur-Aki… Lau-Aki… Lauki?”
“Lauki?”
“Yeah! Lauki! Our joint snowman!”
“Alright then,” I said, bending down and inscribing ‘LAUKI THE SNOWMAN’ into the snow. Aki stood back to take a picture, so I posed next to the snowman, with a cheesy grin and a big thumbs up.
“I’m proud of that snowman!” Aki laughed, clouds rising rapidly from his mouth. “That sounds really sad but I’ve never made a proper one before, my others were all like… well, you saw how good I was, they were crap!”
“Hey, I’m proud of our snowman too! I love making snowmen, they’re so cool,”
“What shall we do next?” Aki asked. I smiled.
“Snow’s not so bad after all, is it?”
“It is fun, but only because you’re here,” he said, smiling back. The funny feeling that he’d given me earlier returned.
“Snowball fight next!” I said quickly, chasing away to the other end of the garden, so we wouldn’t hit ‘Lauki’. Aki ran after me, so I quickly scooped up a snowball and threw it behind me, hoping it would hit.
“Missed, loser!” Aki laughed, and I felt a snowball hit the back of my head.
For fifteen minutes we kept up a solid battle, getting colder and wetter, but happier at the same time. I hit Aki in the neck with a large snowball, making him squeal with cold, and he threw one back which hit me straight in the eye.
“Oww, Aki! That had ice in it!” I said, clutching my hand to my eye. I could feel it watering where the hard lump of ice had collided it.
“Sorry! Are you alright?” he asked, walking over and peeling my hand away. “It’s a bit bloodshot… close your eye,”
I obeyed and felt him kiss my eyelid softly, before giggling.
“I have to kiss it better!” he smiled, blushing, as I opened my eyes again. The funny feeling returned as I looked into his clear blue eyes, as he ran his tongue quickly over his small lips.
“Is that the end of the snowball fight?” he asked.
“Yeah, I guess you won by the look of it!” I said, blinking a few times to make sure my eye was alright. “One more thing to do now…”
I looked around for a patch of snow that we hadn’t walked in. There was some over by the tree at the back of the garden, so I led Aki over, and told him not to move.
“What are we doing?” he asked me.
“You’ll see,” I smiled, carefully lying myself down in the freezing cold snow. My ears stung as they made contact with it, but ignored the feeling and told Aki to do the same thing.
“We’re making snow angels?” he asked, giggling again as he lay down a little way away from me. I looked sideways at him and nodded.
“I love making snow angels,” I said quietly. “They look so pretty, and it feels nice making them!”
“I’ve never made one before,” Aki said. “But I know how to do them,”
He spread his legs wide out and brought them quickly together again, as I did the same thing. We repeated the motion several times and then I dragged my arms through the snow, from where they had been lying at my side, so that they were stretched out and above my head. Aki copied me, bringing his arms up and down to make wing shapes in the snow.
I turned to look at him when I felt his eyes on me. As we lay facing each other our breaths mixed together and swirled upwards in bright white clouds. He smiled gently at me and suddenly I couldn’t feel the cold anymore. I stood up, taking care not to damage my snow angel, and held my hand out to help Aki up. We turned to look at our creations, the falling snow already starting to fill them in, so I quickly took a picture. Aki bent down and inscribed ‘L+A’ into the snow, before straightening up and brushing snow off his face. I looked at him uncertainly, a feeling of apprehension creeping over me. His cheeks were flushed red from the cold, his ears too, and his lips were fuller than usual but looked dry. I licked my own subconsciously. My heart beat faster, but I wasn’t sure why. Aki stepped a little closer, smiling, he looked almost nervous.
“Lauri?”
“Mm?” I swallowed hastily.
The reason for my apprehension became clear as Aki’s lips hit mine. They were soft and breathtakingly warm against the bitter cold of the air. He nuzzled my nose, maybe to reassure me, and wrapped an arm around my waist to bring me closer. He caressed my lips, tenderly, making me melt in his arms. His tongue pressed urgently against my lips, burning them with heat, wanting entrance. I opened my mouth and let myself whimper as his tongue played with mine, curling around it, stroking it. Then he gently pulled back, nipping my lips a couple of times as he did.
“Let’s go inside,” he said quietly, taking my hand in his. I bent down, drew a heart around the ‘L+A’ in the snow, stood up again and walked back to the house.

THE END
Love and the Potions Master

Title: Love and the Potions Master
Author: JoRowlingRocks [Becca]
Rating: NC17 overall, this chapter PG-13
Genre: Romance/adventure
Disclaimer: All characters in this fanfic belong to the wonderful JK Rowling, I am not being paid to write this!
Summary: Set in the trio's 7th year at Hogwarts, Hermione realises she has feelings for one of her teachers... but where will they take her?

----
It was 19th September 1997. The 19th day of term at Hogwarts School of Wizardry and Witchcraft, and Hermione Granger’s 18th birthday. Hermione was sitting in the common room of Gryffindor Tower, accepting presents from her best friends, Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. She had already been given a charm bracelet by Lavender Brown, a bunch of lovely-smelling flowers and a thick book by Parvati Patil, and a bottle of perfume by Ginny Weasley. Her parents had given her the keys to a small flat, which she had been ecstatic about. She had been musing in the holiday about where she would live after she finished Hogwarts.
She began to unwrap the small box handed to her by Ron. It was definitely some kind of jewellery. She opened the velveteen box and gasped. It was a gold chain attached to which was a golden baby angel carrying a diamond encrusted ‘H’.
“It’s beautiful!” she breathed, and looked up at Ron. He was beaming. She had never known him to give such a thoughtful present.
Next she turned to Harry’s lumpy package. This was the first birthday present that she had received from Harry, mainly because he had never been able to get into Diagon Alley soon to buy one. As she unwrapped it, she glimpsed a light blue material. She pulled at it and out fell the most beautiful dress she had ever seen. The top half was done up like a corset, although not so tight, with blue ribbon weaving along the front. The bottom half puffed out slightly, and was decorated with the tiniest of sapphires that had been woven into the material.
“I’ll be right back,” she said happily, and jumped from her chair clutching the dress and necklace. She hurried up to her room, struggled out of her school robes and slipped into the dress. With some difficulty, owing to the delicate clasp, she put the necklace on, and sprayed herself with the perfume from Ginny. She picked her hairbrush up off of her bed, ran it through her hair and turned to her mirror. For the first time ever, she looked into the mirror and was satisfied with what looked out. She was eternally grateful to Ron and Harry for making her look, for the first time in her life, beautiful.
She bounced back down the stairs to the common room and pranced back to her chair. Harry and Ron were staring at her in awe.
“What do you think?” she asked.
“You... wow... amazing...” Ron managed to stutter. Hermione beamed again.
“I’d better go and take it off, though. I don’t think Professor Snape would be too happy if I turned up to Potions with this on,” she said sadly.
Five minutes later Hermione, Harry and Ron were on their way down to breakfast. Several people wished Hermione a happy birthday as they passed, and when she looked up to the staff table, even Professor McGonagall raised her glass to Hermione.
As her and Harry made their way to the dungeons, (Ron had not achieved a high enough grade in his OWLs to join the NEWT class, and had insisted that he wouldn’t have anyway) Hermione knew that nothing could spoil her perfect mood. Snape was just as steely as ever as they entered the classroom but Hermione didn’t care. She sighed happily. Snape raised an eyebrow, as if questioning why she dared to be happy in his presence.
Even with her new found exuberance, she was quite bored. The potion they were making was easy in Hermione’s eyes. Harry and the rest of the class were quite struggling but she had read about the potion on numerous occasions and knew how to make it easily. She had finished it with half and hour to spare, and couldn’t think of anything to do.
She took to staring at Snape in the hope that he would notice that she had finished, and give her something to do. He was sitting at his desk at the front of the class, cribbling on a piece of parchment. His dark, glinting eyes, were concentrating on reading what he had written and there was no hope of him noticing Hermione.
Hermione had noticed, though, on several occasions before, that Severus Snape was not quite as ugly and evil a man as everyone made out. In her sixth year, Hermione had worked on a project for Dumbledore that she had needed very much Snape’s help on. She had spent many nights with him, in the Library or else in his office. She had noticed the way his eyes glittered in the candlelight, and how his robes, underneath his baggy overcloak, accentuated his muscles. In class he always kept this overcloak buttoned up, but in his office he relaxed more and had even on one occasion taken it off. It had given Hermione the impression that he was undressing himself and she had felt a most peculiar sensation at the thought.
But the project was long over, the cosy nights of falling asleep in the office, being woken up at two thirty in the morning by Professor Snape’s deep, mysterious voice calling to her, telling her to go to bed, were gone and would probably never come back, however much Hermione secretly longed them to.
The potions simmering around the room were starting to make Hermione drowsy. She lay her head down on the desk and closed her eyes. Professor Snape would never notice...
*
It was cold in the office. Hermione shivered. It was very late and she couldn’t continue searching the books for much longer, as her eyes were itching and she wasn’t reading properly anymore.
“Miss Granger, you are allowed to sleep, you know,” came the voice of Severus Snape from behind the desk.
“Yes, I know, I just want to get this b-b-book finished, then I’ll s-s- sleep!” she said, yawning. She didn’t like to leave things unfinished. She was sure she heard the tiniest of sighs from Professor Snape. She looked up. He was reading another book, and looking as tired as she felt.
“So can you, Professor,” Hermione said gently.
“I just want to finish this book,” he said with a slight smile.
Hermione finished the chapter of the book with alarming speed and told Professor Snape that she would head off to Gryffindor Tower soon. He sighed, audibly this time, and Hermione looked up at him.
“Professor, what’s wrong?” she asked.
“I’m in love,” said the professor simply.
“Oh! Who with?” replied Hermione, just as simply.
“You,” he whispered, and turned away. He melted into thin air and Hermione was left standing, mouth wide open, in the office.
“Severus!” she called. “Severus, come back! Severus! Severus...”

Chapter 2
Title: Heaven in Helsinki
Author: JoRowlingRocks [Becca]
Rating: PG-13
Genre: Fluff/deathfic
Disclaimer: This story is fictional, has never happened and I have no links to the band!
Summary:Lauri and Aki spend an evening in Helsinki city centre… but things are not what they seem!

A/N: Sorry if this is a bit confusing, I tried to make it self-explanatory, but if you don’t understand the ending, please tell me =)

----

“I wish I could fly like that,” Lauri said wistfully, his bright green eyes following a seagull that was flying aimlessly around in front of us.
“I know you do, Lintu,” I smiled, watching the bird as it landed on the head of a statue and turned to face us.
“I wonder if I could fly, if I tried hard enough?” Lauri giggled. “Maybe if I threw myself off these steps I’d soar into the air like a crow,”
He looked down at the flight of steps that we were sitting on.
“Or maybe you wouldn’t,” I said sarcastically, glancing at Lauri.
“Don’t worry, I wouldn’t really,” Lauri laughed.
“Well… you never know what would happen if you did… but don’t try it, anyway,”
I twisted my head around to look at the impressive building behind us- Helsinki Cathedral. I’d been a frequent visitor to these steps and this cathedral over the years, but this time it was different. This time I was with Lauri. Well, I’d been there with him before, but this time we were together. I turned back to look at him, sitting next to me on the step. He looked beautiful, as always, still watching that seagull soaring around in the sky. Amazingly green eyes, cute little button nose, faint curious smile, small hand with fingers wrapped around mine… he was nothing short of perfect.
“I’m glad I have you,” Lauri said abruptly, finally tearing his eyes away from the seagull. “I’m glad I’m not on my own,”
“I’m glad I have you too,” I said fondly, shuffling closer to Lauri. I put my arm around him and leaned in to kiss him, but he shied away.
“What if someone sees us?” he whispered, looking around to see if anyone was watching.
“It doesn’t matter now, sweetie. No-one will disturb us,” I said comfortingly. He grinned.
“I keep forgetting about that. It feels weird to be able to finally kiss in public,” he said, leaning in and gently kissing me on the lips. I savoured the feeling; the slight breeze, the faint sounds of people talking, seagulls cawing, the trams going past, and the warmth of Lauri’s lips on mine, the taste of beer, mint chewing gum and salmiakki.
I pulled away slowly.
“Do you want to go down to the harbour yet?” I asked, stroking a strand of hair out of Lauri’s eyes.
“Can we stay here for a couple more minutes? The sun has nearly set… I want to watch it disappear,” he said dreamily.
“Alright then, soppy,” I laughed, kissing his forehead and turning to look at the sun. It was casting a red glare over Senate Square as it vanished behind the nearby buildings.
“It looks beautiful, doesn’t it?” Lauri smiled. “Like you,”
I smiled, embarrassed.
“I think your brains have been scrambled,” I said.
“Yeah, so do I!” he laughed, and I tutted.
“Shall we go now, then?” he said, standing up. I stood up too and we jogged down the steps to the Senate Square. I looked back at the cathedral, bathed in the dusk light. It was one of my favourite places in Helsinki.
We walked, hand in hand, across Senate Square, and down one of the little streets towards Helsinki harbour. There weren’t too many people around; the Kauppatori had been packed away a while ago, but it was too early for people to be going out to clubs yet. We crossed over the street and walked along by the side of the harbour, Lauri again watching the seagulls, bobbing up and down on the water. We turned the corner, past the Kaupahalli and up past the ferry terminal.
“Those ships are huge,” Lauri remarked as we passed.
“I know, Lauri, you say that every time we go past them,”
“Yeah… but they are! We should go on one sometime, instead of always getting the plane to Stockholm and Tallin,”
“Yeah, that’s a good idea. Beats staring out of the plane… oh. Wait… Lauri, we won’t be going on planes or boats anymore,”
“Oh, God, yeah, I keep forgetting. It’s hard, I thought it would be different to this,” he said, poking himself in the stomach.
“Me too, but I’m not complaining, I get to be with you,”
“True… this whole thing is completely different to how I imagined it would be, though, it’ll be hard to get used to it,”
We reached the place we were walking to- ‘our’ bench on the seafront. I liked it here; so did Lauri. It was very peaceful, even though it was on a main road. Boats went past frequently, often loaded with tourists who would do a double take when they saw who was sitting on the bench. The islands that were visible from the seafront were beautiful, with different coloured plants and pretty houses. The sounds of the sea were always calming, especially when I was stressed, I’d come and sit here to chill out.
I sat down next to Lauri, and put my arm around him. Teasingly I leaned over and kissed his neck, making him giggle and squirm. He reached out and put his arm around me, and I moved so that I was sitting in his lap.
“I love you,” Lauri said, looking up at me. “We should have been able to do this so long ago… but at least we can now,”
I bent down, took his head in my hands and kissed him softly.
“Now we can do it wherever and whenever we want,” I smiled. “Even in front of Eero and Pauli, if we wanted to,”
“Yeah… but I wish we could talk to them again,” Lauri said wistfully, reaching up and touching my cheek.
“I know, gorgeous, I do too,” I said, stroking his hair comfortingly. He looked up at me.
“Gorgeous?” he said quietly, smiling.
“Yeah…” I said slowly. “You’re the most gorgeous person there is,”
Lauri bit his lip.
“I really really am glad I have you,” he said, hugging me tightly.
For a while we sat on our bench (or in my case, on Lauri’s legs) and reminisced about what we’d seen here, what we’d done here, about the olden days, before I had joined the band, when I could walk around Helsinki with Lauri and it would only be him who was mobbed by fans. By the time we decided to head back, it was pitch black and freezing cold. The stars were out, twinkling in the reflection of the sea as we walked back down to the harbour. Hardly any cars passed by, and there were no lights on in the nearby buildings, so apart from the occasional streetlamp, the only light came from the full moon, shining high in the inky sky. As we approached the pedestrian crossing, I could see the gleaming of a mass of plastic wrappers on the other side of the street. As we crossed, I realised that they were bunches of flowers, laid down on the path with notes on them. Lauri stopped as we drew level with them.
“Shall we read any?” he whispered.
“I… er… I don’t know… you can if you want,” I whispered back, slightly afraid.

You will always be in our hearts, you’ll never be forgotten here. Such a tragedy. Teija xx

It’s not until you were gone that we realised just how precious you were. If only we could have you back for one more day.

Lauri looked up.
“There’s loads, look at them all,” he said, scanning the notes. “Wow…”

Lauri and Aki,
Life won’t be the same without you- your music changed us all in some way. Hopefully you’re together in heaven, after all, you were always together in life. Love forever and always, Dirk

“… I didn’t realise we’d be missed this much,”

THE END

Fading Away

Title: Fading Away
Author: JoRowlingRocks [Becca]
Rating: R for suicide issues
Genre: Slash, angst
Disclaimer: I don't own The Rasmus, this fic is... well... fiction and none of these events happened.

---------

I check that everything is in place. The doors are shut, the windows are done up, the notes are lying in the seat next to me. One to each of my bandmates. One I put more feeling into than the others. The one to you. It tells you how that night we spent together was the best night of my life, that it wasn’t a drunken mistake for me, and I’ve loved you every day since. That I know you don’t feel the same, but I have to tell you before I go, just to make sure that you know. You might have guessed already, you might not have. I’m finding it harder and harder to keep my feelings under control. So there’s only one option left- if I can’t control my feelings, I’ll have to kill them. Along with the rest of me.
I turn on the car engine. I look to my right. A pipe is sticking in through the closed car window. The other end of it is attached to the exhaust. In a few moments, the fumes from the exhaust will fill up the car and replace oxygen with carbon monoxide. I’ll suffocate.
I can feel it already. Only a little bit, but when I breathe in it’s like someone’s pressing down on my chest. I have to take deeper breaths. I look at the note again, and remember that night I was talking about in my note to you...
***
“Oh, come on, stay down here!” you giggle, gesturing towards the bar.
“No, I’m going to bed,” I say. I’m tired, and need to sober up.
“Fine, I’ll come with you,” you say, and heave yourself off of the barstool. We take the lift together up to our room.
Five minutes later I’m in the bathroom brushing my teeth. I can smell the beer on my breath and I’m trying to get rid of it. I don’t want to stink in the morning.
“You done yet?” you say through the closed door. “I need a pee!”
“No, I’ll be a couple of minutes,” I said, spitting toothpaste down the sink.
“Ohh, hurry up, I’m bursting!”
“Shouldn’t have drunk so much, should you?” I laugh. “Come in now if you’re so desperate, I’ll look the other way,”
The door bangs open and you barge in.
“That’s better,” you say, relieved, a few seconds later. I turn round and almost choke on my toothbrush when I see you haven’t pulled your trousers up.
“Sorry!” I gasp and turn back round.
“It’s okay,” you giggle. “We’re both men,”
A few minutes later we’re both in the bedroom, snuggled up under the covers of our warm hotel beds.
“Turn the light off,” you ask from across the room.
“Can’t be bothered to get up, you...” I say lazily.
“I don’t want to,”
“Sleep with the light on then,”
You sigh and get out of bed, trudge across the room and turn the light off. On your way back you trip over the edge of my bed and fall onto my feet.
“You alright?” I ask.
“Ow... no,” you say, and I’m shocked to hear a tremble in your voice. You must have really hurt yourself. I leap out of bed and turn on the lightswitch. I look back at you and see that you’re not hurt at all. A cheeky grin spreads across your face.
“You cheeky bastard!” I laugh. “I thought there was something wrong!”
“Oh well... at least I know you care about me now,”
I tut. “You know that already,”
“I know, only kidding, soppyhead!” you say, and grab a pillow from my bed. You whack me round the head.
“WAR!” I shout and grab the other pillow. Soon we’re engaged in full-on battle, until the inevitable happens and a pillow bursts, sending feathers everywhere.
“Oops,” we say together. Then we laugh so much that we end up falling off of the bed, bringing the bedsheets with us. We lie in a tangled mess on the floor. I look at you and for a split second, just a tiny fraction of time, I think how beautiful you are. The thought goes away... but then I look at you again and it comes back. I frown to myself.
“What’s wrong?” you ask.
“Oh, nothing...” I say. You try to untangle yourself from the bedsheet but only succeed in wrapping your leg around mine. I gulp and try to force the thoughts out of my head, but as I do they only become more prominent.
“There’s something wrong!” you persist.
“Umm...” I pause. Should I do this? It could ruin everything. But then I look into your eyes again and I don’t care. I press my lips to yours, quickly, before you have time to react. But when you do, you’re not pushing away, you’re pulling your hands free of the bedsheets so that you can hold my face. You whimper and shuffle closer so that our chests are pressed together.
“I want you,” you whisper in my ear...
***
But you soon made it clear, the next morning, that you didn’t want me, that it was the drink talking and not you. I accepted that and never spoke about it again.
I didn’t stop thinking about it though. I thought about it every day, until I couldn’t bear it anymore. It had to stop.
It’s getting harder to breathe now. I have to gasp for each breath. I didn’t realise this would take so long. Dots start to appear in front of my eyes. Do I really want this? Do I really want to die? What if you were just covering up? What if you love me too? But it’s too late now... I can’t breathe anymore... the fumes have finally taken over... I can’t see... from somewhere I think I hear someone scream, but it could be my imagination... my senses are fading away... I’m gone.

***

“I swear I jut saw his hand move!”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes! Please wake up, please, please!”
Voices? Why can I hear voices? And why am I thinking? I should be dead! But I’m not...
After a huge effort I open one eye.
“HE’S AWAKE!” a voice screeches hysterically. Someone bursts into tears and I feel arms enclosing me in a fierce hug.
“Step back, please, I need to check him over,” says a smooth female voice, and the arms release me.
I open the other eye and blink several times until I can see clearly. The first thing I notice is the mounds and mounds of cards, all over the small, white room. Then a face peers at me inquisitively.
“How are you?” you say. Your perfect face is ghostly white and tear stained.
“I’m... wh- where am I?” I say, trying to get used to speaking again.
“You’re in hospital, you’ve been unconscious for... five days. We’ve all been so worried about you, we thought you were... you know... I found you. I’ve never been so horrified in my life, I’ve never cried so much. I read your letter. And I want to tell you now, to make sure that you know... I- I feel the same way,”
My heart leaps. You feel the same way! All this time, I’ve been trying to force my feelings away, for no reason! I try to sit up and hug you, but I’m too weak. I can’t even lift my arms up.
You bend down and kiss me softly. It’s the kiss I’ve waited for for so long. Maybe I am dead, I think to myself, as your soft lips graze my cheek. Maybe I’m in heaven.
“Am I in heaven?” I ask. You laugh.
“No, thank God, you’re still here with me,”
You sit down on the bed and hug me again.
“The others have been worried, too,” you say quietly. “They were here earlier, they just left, the manager wanted us to give a statement about what had happened. I stayed here while they went and did it. They should be back soon,”
“Okay... not too soon though, I hope... I want it to be just me and you for a few minutes,”
I look at your face and get tingles.
“I love you,” I say, and close my eyes.
“I love you too,” you say huskily and kiss me again, harder this time. It’s the best feeling in the world. I want to kiss you properly but I haven’t got the strength, so I just sink into my pillow and let you do it all. You stop.
“Don’t you want this?” you ask uncertainly.
“Of course I do! I just haven’t got the strength to move, that’s all,” I say with a smile.
“Oh,” you say, relieved. I wiggle my fingers and eventually I can move my forearms up and down. I do the same with my legs and then try to lift my head up. You help me and finally I can sit up.
“That’s better,” I say and lean in to kiss you. One of your arms is round my waist, holding me up, the other is playing with my hair.
“Mmm,” you mumble and kiss me passionately. I soon get out of breath and have to pull away, dizzy. You release me in shock and I fall with a thump to the bed.
“What happened?” you ask.
“I couldn’t breathe!” I gasp.
“Oh no! Are you okay?" you ask, and I see you’re about to cry.
“Yeah, yeah, don’t worry,” I say and smile at you sweetly.
“Oh, you’re so beautiful when you smile!” you say to me. “I can’t wait until you can come home. Then we can...”
You stop and blush.
“Unless you don’t want to, that is, it’s fine if you don’t, I just thought maybe you would but we don’t have to and-”
“Shut up,” I laugh. “Of course I want to,”
You smile coyly.
“Come here, baby, I’ll be more gentle this time,”
“Whatever!” I laugh. "And you called me baby!"
"Well, you are younger than me, so I can," you say and poke your tongue out.
"Say it again,"
"Baby? Okay then... I love you, baby, I think you're gorgeous, baby, I want you so much, baby,"
I giggle and sigh with happiness.
***
“Good news! I think it’s time that you can have a bath on your own,” says the nurse to me one day. I smile widely. It’s embarrassing having to be bathed by a stranger.
“Tada!” you say with a flourish. “I’ve bought you a present for this... occasion,”
It’s a bottle of bubble bath.
“I promise I’ll use it,” I say happily, taking the bottle.
“I wish I could be there when you do,” you whisper so the nurse can’t hear.
“I’ll be home soon, then you can have your wicked way with me,” I murmur. The nurse goes out of the room and I steal a quick kiss.
***
“Now then, I don’t want you locking the door, in case we need to get in to you. There’s a cord here to pull if you need any assistance. If you’re not back in an hour I’ll come and get you. Okay?”
I nod. The nurse leaves the room and I’m finally in peace. I put my towel down on the floor and the bubble bath on the side of the bath. I turn on the warm tap and start to undress, while pouring bubble bath into the warm water. I sit down on the side of the bath to take off my socks and slide on a patch of water that’s dripped over the side of the bath. I wobble wildly for a second and then yelp as I fall backwards into the swirling water. There’s a crack and I feel immense pain as my head collides with the bath. For a minute I splash wildly in the water, struggling to get up, but I'm numb. I try to cry out for help but can’t, and I feel myself fading away again. No, I think to myself, stay awake, I can’t go now, not when we’re finally together! But my vision fades and I black out.
***
Lauri walked down the corridor, humming. Would he be out of the bath yet? Lauri stopped at the bathroom to check. The nurse had said that the door would be unlocked... Lauri knocked, and as there was no answer pushed the door open to see if anyone was in there. He screamed at what he saw.
Eero was lying in the bath, with his eyes shut. His modesty was tastefully covered by a patch of bubbles, but apart from that Lauri could see his entire body under the water. Only his face was out of the water. His hair was in his face and there was a small patch of blood in it. Lauri ran over and pulled Eero into a sitting position.
“Baby, are you alright?” he asked shakenly. “Eero, answer me!” No answer. Lauri sat on the side of the bath but slipped and ended up sitting on Eero’s lap in the water.
“Eero, please don’t do this to me, answer me!” Lauri said desperately. Lauri felt Eero’s chest under the water for a heartbeat. There was none. He wasn’t breathing, either.
“No!” Lauri cried, tears streaming down his face. The eternity ring that had been clutched in his left hand sank, forgotten, to the bottom of the bath.
“Eero, please, please, wake up, please,” Lauri whispered. No response. Lauri gave Eero a little shake and his head slipped under the water. Lauri put his hand behind Eero's neck and pulled him back up again. He kissed Eero's cold, wet lips for the last time.
"Eero! You're not... you're not dead, you're here, wake up!"
But he knew it was no use. Eero was gone.

THE END

Birthday Boy

Title: Birthday Boy
Author: JoRowlingRocks [Becca]
Rating: NC17
Genre: Slash, fluff
Disclaimer: This story has never happened, I have no links to the band and The Rasmus are not mine!
Summary: It’s the 28th October 2005- Aki’s 26th birthday. The Rasmus are playing a gig in Nottingham, and Lauri has a special surprise planned for Aki!

----

“Excited?” I asked Aki as we walked along the corridor backstage. He nodded eagerly and grinned.
“Yeah, I bet you are, all those presents and cakes and girls throwing themselves at you!” I said, trying to sound jealous. He poked me with a drumstick.
“You know I’ll give you a slice of the cake!” he said, laughing and ducking out of the way as I went to smack him.
“Pauli, Eero, we’re ready!” I said, knocking on the dressing room door. Pauli opened it and emerged with Eero, who was anxiously fiddling with his hair.
“This is going to be a great gig,” Aki said confidently. “Remember last time we were here?”
“Yeah, the crowd were wild!” I reminisced. “Shall we go and give them what they want, then?”
We walked down the corridor, past the sound technician, and gave him the okay to start playing the backing track for our entrance. We rushed to the wings of the stage and the sound of the song that had been playing dimmed, to be replaced with the music to ‘Dancer in the Dark’. The crowd recognised it immediately and began clapping and cheering. I surveyed the crowd from my hiding place, and noticed that quite a lot of them had party hats on- quite what they had planned, I wasn’t sure.
I listened carefully for the crescendo in the music, and when it hit, burst out onto the stage to deafening screaming. I beamed as I looked over the crowd, all staring at us in wonder. The place was really packed out! There were people crammed onto the balcony and down the stairs, as well as filling the pit in front of the stage. Some people nearer the front of the crowd had brought out party blowers and were blowing them fervently whilst looking in Aki’s direction. I turned to look at him- the grin on his face was humongous. It was when he looked like this that I liked him best; his eyes always sparkled behind his glasses when he smiled, and his whole face seemed to change shape. He caught my eye and his smile changed from one of pride to one of pleased embarrassment. I flashed him a thumbs up as he settled behind his drum kit and turned to see if Eero and Pauli were ready to play. I nodded to the sound guy in the wings, and seconds later ‘Dancer in the Dark’ faded away as Pauli ripped into ‘Shot’. I had extra energy tonight, for some reason, and bounced around the stage (almost tripping over the microphone wire) as I sang.
At the end of the song there was more screaming and clapping, and already a pair of knickers had been thrown on stage. Laughing, I picked them up and handed them to Aki.
“Birthday present!” I shouted to him, away from the microphone. I heard a ‘flump’ sound behind me, and turned around to see that a large banner had been thrown onto the stage. I went over and picked it up.
Happy Birthday Aki! From The International Forum read the banner, with numerous small messages written around it. I smiled and motioned for Aki to come out from behind his drums.
“I guess you all know what day it is, then?” I said into the microphone as Aki took the banner and held it up- more screams from the crowd.
“Who wants to sing Happy Birthday?” I asked the adoring crowd, and they jumped up and down frantically. “I said- WHO WANTS TO SING HAPPY BIRTHDAY??”
The level of screaming got, if possible, even louder, and the people wearing party hats brought out party poppers.
“Okay, I’ll start you off, sing along with me!” I shouted, putting an arm around Aki.
“Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you!” I started, the crowd soon roaring along with me. I turned to look at Aki as I sang. “Happy Birthday dear Aki…” The crowd were drowning me out now, as he looked back at me, a grin of pure happiness on his cute little face. “Happy Birthday to you!”
There was a collective bang as hundreds of party poppers were let off and streamers flew into the air. Aki was blushing like I’d never seen as we both turned to face the crowd. Something stirred in my stomach. Now was the time to do it.
“Who wants to see my present for Aki?” I asked into the microphone, hopefully not showing that I was nervous. More screaming from the mad crowd, and Aki turned to look at me inquisitively.
“Dude, you already gave me a present!” he said, smiling.
“I’ve got a surprise one too,” I said, taking a deep breath. I put the microphone back in it’s stand, put my other arm around Aki and tried to ignore the 2000 bouncing, cheering maniacs in front of me. I looked Aki in the eye for a split second, registered his look of curiosity and then took the plunge; pressing my lips to his. My brain screamed with triumph as our lips touched, I’d been imagining this for so long, and suddenly it didn’t matter whether Aki wanted this too, I just needed more. I kissed him hungrily, and after a few seconds, to my immense joy, he kissed back, wrapping his arms around me. I dimly noticed that the crowd’s screaming had changed; some people were silent, but plenty of people were screaming even more- high-pitched, encouraging whooping, and lots of clapping. I slowly pulled back, I didn’t want to get too carried away in front of the crowd- we could save that until later. I looked at Aki shyly as we broke apart, and he, like me, was grinning like a mad thing. We turned to face the crowd again, and I giggled. About three quarters of the audience were standing with their mouths wide open, in pure shock; a few were still screaming and clapping like mad, and fewer still had disgusted looks on their faces. I picked up the microphone again.
“Ahem… so… who liked my present for Aki?”
I grinned widely as the majority of the audience cheered approvingly. I then suddenly remembered that me and Aki weren’t the only ones on the stage, and turned to look at Eero. He simply smiled and nodded, and when I looked at Pauli, he raised his eyebrows and shrugged. I gave the thumbs up to start the next song.
***
“Come on, let’s go outside it’s too-” I stopped mid-sentence as Aki pressed me against the wall for the fifth kiss that minute.
“It’s too hot in here,” I giggled as we finished. We strolled out of the backstage area, and out of the stage door to the place where the tour bus was parked.
“Shall we go in there?” Aki whispered, nodding towards the tour bus.
“No, Eero and Pauli will come back soon, we won’t be able to have any privacy. Let’s just go up that road somewhere, out of the way of the fans,”
“Okay, but let’s not go too far away, I just want to kiss you again,” Aki smiled as we set off.
“Stay in the shadows,” I whispered as we edged along, trying to pass the crowd gathered by the tour bus. I looked at the people standing there- nearly all of them female. Some of them had black t-shirts with ‘The Notts Train’ written on them. I always had thought English people were strange.
Quietly we crept along, behind the other side of the tour bus until we reached the road. We crossed over and headed up it, away from the venue.
“I think we made it past them!” Aki exclaimed triumphantly as we found an alley to stop in.
“I hope so, I can’t wait any longer for you,” I said roughly. I pushed him against the wall and licked his neck, pushing his jacket off his shoulders and onto the floor as I did so.
“How long have you liked me for?” Aki asked as he stroked my hair.
“Ages…” I said quietly, bringing my head up so it was level with his. “Ages. I was going to do this last birthday, but I couldn’t work up the nerve. I’m surprised you never noticed. I’ve wanted you for so long, I can’t believe you want me back,”
“Of course I do,” Aki purred, his blue eyes flashing. “You’re so gorgeous, how could anyone not want you?”
I didn’t stop to blush, I just attacked Aki’s mouth once more, pressing my groin to his, trying to get a response. I got one straight away- a slight moan and a buck of the hips.
“Can we do it here?” I asked lustfully. “I can’t stop,”
“What if we get caught?” Aki said, though he didn’t really sound as if he cared.
“We won’t get caught, don’t worry,” I said, turning my attention to Aki’s neck once more.
“Oh, fine, but I’m blaming you if anything bad happens,” Aki giggled, sliding his hand inside my t-shirt. I quickly helped him take it off, discarding it on the dirty floor.
“I bet you didn’t think you’d be getting this kind of present, did you?” I breathed, hurriedly unzipping his trousers.
“Only in my wildest dreams,” he said, nuzzling my neck and encouraging my hands with his.
“You dream about me?” I asked, momentarily taken aback.
“Almost every night,” he said carelessly, running his hands down my chest, tugging at the waistband of my trousers.
“Why didn’t I do this last year?” I murmured, more to myself than to Aki, as I pulled his tank top over his head. “We could have had a whole year of being together, I’ve wasted it,”
“It doesn’t matter,” Aki said, hugging me, bringing our bare chests together. “We’re together now,”
“We sure are,” I giggled. I ran my hands down his chest, to the top of his opened trousers, and pushed them down a little, along with his boxers, just enough to reveal a line of hair. I felt a moan roll up from the back of my throat. I pushed my hand into the back of Aki’s boxers, and he gasped at my touch.
“Turn around,” I whispered, leaning into his ear. He did so straight away, so that his face was pressed against the cold wall. I wrapped my arms tightly around him for a moment. I kissed his neck and shoulders reassuringly, and released him, to pull his trousers down further. He whimpered in protest as the cold hit his bare skin; I felt him shiver. I pressed myself tighter against him, and he made another sound, but this of pleasure as he was crushed between me and the wall.
“This isn’t very romantic, is it?” he giggled as I fumbled with my own fly.
“My feelings for you make up for where we are. What I’ve got inside me could make anywhere romantic,”
“Wow, I’ve never heard you talk like that,” Aki said appraisingly. I smiled.
“I trust you!” I said, as I let my trousers fall to the floor. “I know you won’t make fun of me,”
“You hope I won’t!” Aki giggled. “Joking, joking!” he hastily added as I stopped what I was doing.
“Do you have any… protection?” I asked, embarrassed.
“Oh… yeah, hang on,” Aki said, retrieving his trousers and pulling out his wallet. He handed me a small silver square, which I clutched in my left hand, ready to open.
“Are you ready for this?” I asked quietly, slipping my right hand around Aki’s waist.
“Yeah, I’m ready,” he said, holding my hand and tugging it lower.
“Good, I don’t want to wait for you anymore,” I said, nibbling Aki’s ear. Taking a deep breath, I unclenched my fist, took out the condom and rolled it on, trying to ignore my shaking hands.
“Tell me… tell me if I hurt you or… or anything,” I said quietly, not quite sure of where these sudden nerves had come from. Aki let go of my hand and turned round.
“Are you alright?” he asked, looking at me concerned.
“Yeah, I’m fine!” I said. “I’m just nervous, I don’t want to mess this up,”
Aki giggled immaturely.
“How can you mess it up? Just stick it in!”
“Alright, I’ll do that, see how you like it!”
“Er… okay, don’t do that then… be gentle with me!” he said, sounding genuinely scared. I sniggered to myself.
I gently took hold of his shoulders and turned him around, so he was facing the wall again. I stroked his hip comfortingly with my right hand, and with my left, I held his shoulder to keep him steady. I lined myself up at his entrance, and very slowly started to push in. I groaned loudly as I finally felt what I’d been dreaming about for so long.
“Are you okay?” I asked Aki as I heard him breathe in sharply.
“Mmm,” he mumbled through gritted teeth. “Carry on,”
I pushed myself further in, until I was all the way inside of him. I stopped for a second, to let Aki adjust to the strange feeling. He was breathing heavily, but I couldn’t see his facial expression, so I didn’t know whether he was in pain or not.
“Sure you’re okay?”
“Yeah, I’m fine, it just feels weird, that’s all. Keep going!” he said breathlessly.
Still unsure of how Aki was feeling, I pulled out and repeated the motion slowly, until I heard a small groan escape Aki’s lips, and I knew he was alright.
I increased speed slowly, until I was thrusting into him with full force. I was panting by this time, digging my fingers into Aki’s skin, stars bursting in front of my eyes. The only thing I could hear was his breathless groaning, sending jolts through my sweating body.
I closed my eyes and rested my head against the back of Aki’s as I tried to push harder.
“Lauri…” Aki gasped. “Oh God…”
I felt Aki’s right arm move, and opened my eyes to see him desperately pleasing himself while the other hand scratched down the wall, trying to grip onto something to keep him steady.
I could hear our skin slapping together as I banged into him over and over, bringing us both closer to the edge. A prolonged, shaky moan told me that Aki was close, so I snaked my right hand around him and helped bring him to his climax. He practically squealed as I touched him, stroking his length up and down, still thrusting in and out of him at the same time. I could feel myself getting dizzy, the pending explosion was getting nearer.
“Lauri, I’m coming…” Aki panted, and as he did so, I felt warmth rush over my fingertips, onto the wall, and Aki leant back against me, calling my name.
“I’m nearly there,” I said dazedly. I continued until I felt myself erupt inside Aki, and I screamed loudly, biting Aki’s shoulder to stifle myself.
Gasping and panting, I withdrew from Aki’s shaking body. He turned around to face me, his eyes half closed, sweat dripping from his upper lip.
“I didn’t know I could feel that good,” he said, wrapping his arms around me. I kissed the sweat off his face.
“I hope no-one heard us,” I giggled. “I couldn’t help it,”
“I’ve never screamed like that before,” Aki answered. “You’re amazing,”
I blushed, and cradled Aki in my arms.
“Never leave me,” I whispered. “I’ve waited so long for you,”
“I promise I’ll never leave you,” Aki said, stroking my hair.
We stayed in that romantic embrace until we started to get cold again, so we hastily put on some clothes, not really paying attention to whether they were on properly. My t-shirt was covered in dirt now, from where it had lain on the floor, but I didn’t care, nor did Aki as his arms wrapped around me once more. He kissed my forehead, my nose, my cheeks, then finally my lips, softly and gently.
I faintly registered a new sound, but I didn’t really care, I was too busy enjoying the moment with Aki, and it wasn’t until it was too late that I realised it could be fans. I slipped my tongue into Aki’s mouth just as I heard a strangled shout of-
“Oh my God! Go back!!” from what sounded like a girl. My eyes flew open and I sprang back from Aki. I turned to face the source of the disruption and saw several girls looking at us from the other end of the alleyway.
“Shit,” I muttered under my breath.
A pretty young girl, with a pale face and dark hair, was looking at me shell-shocked.
“Come on, let’s go,” she said quietly to the others, blushing. “Sorry for interrupting Lauri, Aki,”
The others, however, seemed too much in shock to be able to move. There were two other youngish girls, both with that strange slogan ‘The Notts Train’ on their t-shirts, and an older woman, who I recognised- I’d met her a few times after gigs.
Suddenly one of the ‘Notts Train’ girls started giggling, and pointed to the wall. I felt myself blushing further; I could guess what she’d seen.
“Yeah, let’s leave them to it,” said the older woman, but none of them seemed to be able to move, they were in shock.
I fumbled to my left, found Aki’s hand and gripped it nervously. The girls all smiled soppily.
“Can I have a picture of you two?” one of them asked suddenly, blushing as she said it.
“Um… yeah, sure…” I said warily, letting go of Aki’s hand and putting an arm round him. We both smiled nervously as the girl took a picture.
“We’re all really happy for you both,” said another one of the girls. “Remember not to listen to what anyone else thinks. The real fans will always support you,”
That made me smile.
“Thanks! I think we’ll have to keep that in mind,” I said, turning to Aki, who nodded.
“Right, well we’ll be going now, yeah?” said the pale girl with dark hair.
“Oh… er… yeah,” said the one with the camera, and slowly turned away.
“Um…” I began, and they all stopped. “We’d appreciate it if you didn’t tell everyone… how you found us, it’s a bit embarrassing,”
“We won’t tell, don’t worry!”
They finally turned and left us, and went out of sight, probably running to tell someone who they’d just met.
“Jesus, my heart’s going so fast,” Aki said. “Told you we’d get caught!”
“At least they didn’t catch us ten minutes ago,” I giggled, putting my hand over Aki’s heart to feel his heartbeat.
“I would have been sick,” he said matter-of-factly. “Next time, can we do it somewhere a bit more private?”
“You want a next time, then?” I purred.
“I want hundreds of next times,” he replied, looking deep into my eyes.
I couldn’t resist kissing him, not when he looked at me like that.
“Well you can’t have hundreds of next times,” I said.
“Why not?” He looked shocked.
“Because you’re getting thousands,”

THE END
